    • Baker Mayfield - can't you read the signs?
    • Sam Darnold - the coaches say will win out, Dorsey will do what is right
    • Josh Rosen
    • Josh Allen

McCloughan is already not only participating in film sessions, but reportedly from other sources running the sessions when it comes to evaluating the QB class.

Great hire as Scot McCloughan has a great eye for talent and "real football players."

As has been noted, McCloughan only has eyes for Baker Mayfield and has made that known publicly over and over that he prefers Baker by a wide-margin to the rest of the QBs coming out.

And recently, he stated that his scouting company has been advising teams that Baker is the clear cut best QB in the draft, and that he should be built around as a the franchise center piece.

As a person with personal drinking issues and misconduct issues, McCloughan is able to easily see past all the character issues of Mayfield.

McCloughan also drafted Russell Wilson.

In my mind, this guarantees that we pass on Sam Darnold and take Baker at 1.

Unless Hue, Zampese, and other scouts can raise a stink and get Jimmy on board...Baker will be dressed in a Browns uniform come draft time.

So the Browns now have Elliot Wolf, John Dorsey and Scot McCloughlan in charge of the team....

Can we all take a second and realize how insane that is compared to where we were at 2 months ago.

Those are arguably the top 3 FO candidates heading into this offseason and the Browns somehow have all 3 working for them lol

The only fear is a potential unitary perspective on things.

Also, Eliot Wolf might be marginalized as they all remember him as a child; therefore, they may talk to him and talk about him in ways that may cause conflict.

Great scouts for sure.

Wish this draft were richer in talent.

Then again, a fair number of McCloughlan's home run picks have been in later rounds.

I think you’re overstating things a bit.

Its kinda hard to say McCloughan and Wolf are two of the top FO candidates when they didn’t even get interviewed for jobs.

McCloughan has drank himself out of a couple jobs thus far, I’m not sure he gets another shot. At least anytime soon.

Wolf has the name, but he’s been strictly a pro personnel guy thus far.

Again, with us holding the #4 pick, I would not believe one word coming from our FO, they will do everything to mislead the other teams and may be simply trying to sell teams on moving up with a trade with the Browns, to draft Mayfield. Right now he is pegged as around an 11 to 15 pick, but if they could convince teams he is worth drafting at #4, we could pick up even more assets. McCloughan has been around a long time and knows full well how to play the drafting game!!!

You will never know till draft day.
