Unless we could somehow get Harper for cheap (which won't happen), then I'll pass on him. Dude is hitting like .220 for the year, and will be gone next year anyway. I'm not going to give up good players/prospects that can help us win now and in the future for a rental, especially when he hasn't even been that good this season.

Well there is  small chance he could sign a one year deal. If it’s just one year the Dolans might fork it out. It would be the perfect time to go after the title. Hypes the Indians up huge for the year they are hosting the all star game. It gives Harper a chance to recover and show he is having a fluke time right now. He might be struggle now but being protected by our heavy hitters could do wonders for him

Well evidently we still lost the Mejia trade according to the baseball forum. Thought I’d catch you guys up.

Yeah who knew it’s easy to build bullpens in the MLB even tho there are very few good bullpens to speak off.

Also it’s overrated to trade for controllable players

Eh. Martin is mostly a defense only 30 year old CF. The prospect we gave up isn't really a prospect so much as organizational filler. It's a meh move both ways. Nice to get some CF depth, but no harm no foul either way.
