candyman93
Baseball had a really easy decision to make. They could have easily done a bubble and played games in Arizona and Florida. It’s MLB and the unions fault.

Shouldn't be too hard to ID the idiot(s) that engaged in risky behavior. Suspend them for "conduct detrimental to the team", if MLB has a clause like the NFL. Let the teams with smarter, more disciplined, dedicated and professional players/coaches continue. Make them all wear masks always and shower at home. They did everything right and now because of the Marlins, their schedule gets to be screwed too. Edited July 27, 2020 by candyman93
candyman93
The more I read about the Marlins story, the more furious I’d be if I’m a Philly player. Like I’m throwing 100 mph beamers at the Marlins players next time I play them.

AkronsWitness
There is no chance the MLB plays this entire season. Just too much travel and too many players to keep tabs on without ONE of them getting the virus and sharing it to others. The NBA will be fine because of the bubble others have talked about. The NFL is a different animal that I don't see a way they finish their season because of roster sizes like MLB, travel and the fact that it's a contact sport where all the players on the field are sweating/breathing on top of each other every single play. I think it's extremely optimistic to think the NFL will finish it's season. They will try, but my bet is that something happens by week 5 or 6 to shut the whole league down. For position players but the guys in the trenches are grabbing eachother and making contact every single snap

candyman93
So our only tough series for a month is the next 4 against the Twins. After that we get the Reds, White Sox, Cubs (2 games), Tigers, Pirates, and then Tigers again.

Francola ran him into the ground last year and keeps bringing him out this year even though his velo is around 90 vs. his historical 95. The K-man should have been ready to go.
