SemperFeist
I make sure to do stretches every morning when I wake up, on my lunch break, and right before bed. I also started to go to the chiropractor once a month just for “routine maintenance”, and I get a deep tissue massage twice a month. Once I started doing this routine, I am amazed at how I feel. I’m 30, and feel 10x better than I did when I was 20.
JDBrocks
Can anyone give me a recommendation on a mitre saw for basic home projects? I'm not trying to do any fine woodworking, but like the accuracy of a mitre saw compared to my circular saw. I think I like the idea of the sliding compound saw, but don't really know if there are any disadvantages. I have had good luck with Milwaukee products, but the price is pretty steep for the amount of work I anticipate.

You’ll have a good warranty on it, and Craftsman stuff, while not top of the line, are usually pretty decent. Should be around that $150-200 range. Ive has my Dewalt one now for 8 years or so, but that sounds like it’s out of your price range.
SemperFeist
I probably went a little over board and didn’t need something so expensive, but I went out and bought a DeWalt mitre saw. I’ve had zero issues with it.
JDBrocks
I'd probably be willing to pay between $350-$450 if the cost/benefit made it worth it. I just don't want to pay an extra $150 for a name if the features or build quality aren't noticeable. SemperFeist
If you’re willing to go up to that price, I’d look around for sales on a DeWalt. Obviously dependent on how much you plan to use it. But I don’t think you’d run into any issues with it, and be happy with your purchase in the long run.

I mean, what size of one are you looking for? Plug in? Battery?
JDBrocks
It would be plug in, either 10 or 12 inch. I've seen Rigid and DeWalt get good reviews.

Looking online you could get a dewalt one right around your price range. I have always loved all of my dewalt stuff.

vike daddy
go DeWalt. it's at the higher end of home do it yourself level of tools and the mid or perhaps lower end of contractor grade tools. Milwaukee is a higher grade and expense for what you need, as is Rigid. watch for sales.
skywindO2
I had a DeWalt but a nice salesman talked me into a Hilti. Called it the Cadillac of nail guns.

Now, 2-3 feet of ice and an additional 6” on my lake. I’m SAD and feverish (spring, that is).
