I'm hoping I'll be out by game time on Sunday so I get to see us beat up on the Eagles. The last game I missed was also due to a hospital stay and that was for the Browns game when AD had his famous run where he just threw the defender aside and then turned around and ran about 60 yards for a TD. Maybe I should go into the hospital more often. At least I'm using Twin Cities Orthopedics. Good luck on the hip replacement. They'll tell you that it will last 20-30 years but near as I can tell that is a conservative estimate. It is too bad we don't all have the same health as Mr Vike Daddy. His health is legendary.

As my Dad used to say, "Getting older ain't for sissies!" I will be having cataract surgery sometime next month.

byuvike88
So far the move to Minnesota has been nice! Covered my first high school football game Friday just in time for the snow. I think the biggest adjustment is not saying "nice shirt or nice hat" every time a see someone wearing Viking apparel. My wife has even mentioned how weird it is to see Viking things everywhere.
Heimdallr
19.3” of snow in Duluth as of 6AM, with 2-3” more expected today. I-35 is closed, which I have never seen before. I was supposed to drive back to the cities yesterday, but I don’t think it’ll be possible until Tuesday.
TENINCH
Went to the Keys this weekend. Gorgeous place but don't bother going if you don't have a boat. There are no good beaches. Went to the Everglades yesterday and saw about 1/10th of it. Didn't realize how big it really was. Can't wait to go back and check out some more parts of it. Didn't see one iguana or python..... Great beaches I went to them but nothing came up looking for beaches. There was one at a state park on Key Largo that we were told was the best beach on the keys. It wasn't nice at all. I would LOVE to retire down to somewhere in Florida, but I'm afraid that all the older baby boomers will have already moved down there by the time I get the chance. I visited Naples, FL about 10-15 years ago and it was beautiful. I just want to find a place that hasn't become like California.
