People said the same thing about the Saints as well when they won it.

And GB. GB had a top 5 defense and a young MVP caliper QB in his prime when they won the bowl. Look how that turned out. Point being, SB's are very very hard to get back to, much less win again. Eagles will have their work cut out for them, especially with their cap situation not being great and Wentz needing a new contract in a year or two.

Anything can happen but those two would have to dethrone the Eagles in their own division and with the core players locked up till 2020, that doesn't look  easy.

But you could say the same thing about several other teams as well based on one season. With some of those other teams looking a hell of alot more competitive on paper than the Eagles do now, at that. The Chargers, the Packers, Giants, Steelers......hell even the Eagles in early-mid-2000's. Again, there are several aspects that occur every year that you cannot predict to happen but, in fact do, that changes the landscape entirely. Parity reigns in the NFL man. For one reason or another.

not one of those teams you listed look better on paper than the Eagles do for the 2018 season. MVP caliber Carson Wentz is back, HOF LT Peters is back, and the leader of the defense Jordan Hicks is back.

Cmon, man. Take the glasses off. The Packers OL was stacked. Rodgers is/was 10x the player and QB that Wentz is. Collins ALONE was better than any secondary player that the Eagles were fielding this year and that's not even including Woodson, Raji and Matthews. And their WR corp is not even worth debating at all.

but last year the cowboys or Giants didn't win the super bowl. The Eagles had plenty of seasons where they looked dominant and had a good future but nothing came of it. Right now as it stands the teams that will be perennial Contenders in the NFC are Eagles, Falcons, Saints, Panthers, Seahawks, and Vikings, and Green Bay

Ok two years ago the Broncos won the Super Bowl and they fell off the face of the Earth. AND IN THAT case their QB played so bad that you could actually say that anybody could have stepped in and replicated it. Then they couldn't. In the Eagles case their QB played lights out to get into the playoffs. My point is, people always think they know who is going to dominant for years to come, then the season starts and a new great team emerges, several teams take a step forward, several teams take a step back.

Put it this way, nobody thinks the Vikings make it to the playoffs or NFCCG if Rodgers is healthy. Everybody thought the Falcons would be right in the mix this year, instead they just kind of backed into the playoffs. Nobody gave the Saints any credit and they could go right back to their old ways. The Seahawks are falling apart. Nobody has won the NFC East two seasons in a row in years and this season the Cowboys will have Zeke all year.

You just don't know. We do this stupid thread every year, and every year it is proven wrong. The Patriots and Steelers are literally the only teams in the AFC that have shown any consistency the last 3 years. The Packers and Seahawks in the NFC and both of them got derailed by injuries to their key units. Aside from that, everything else is subject to change. The Eagles could come out balling next year. They also could come out flat. Remember 2010? Remember the dream team? People just don't know.

Like I said, every year this thread is made. Every year it looks stupid by week 4.

Also two years ago their QB retired and didnt have a succession plan in place. QBs matter and Eagles have 2

Their QB played like dog crap all year. Like their QB was statistically the worst QB in the league that year. That's not a good enough reason. Going into 2016 the Broncos were in a position where if there QB was ranked like 20 they should have had a successful season.

And the Eagles had great QB play in the regular season by Wentz and the post season by Foles. When Foles played bad to end the regular season, all the Eagles fans here said the team was now struggling. What if Wentz comes back but he struggles next year to get back to his prior self. What if like alot of QB's Wentz last year was an up year and he can't replicate it? What if Foles goes back to being 2014-2016 Nick Foles? What if the Eagles lose their OC (look what that did to the Falcons)?

There's too many questions for every team. Not just the Eagles. My team has a lot of defensive questions they need to answer. You just never know. Which is why these threads end up being so wrong in the end. Because you never know whose going to play really good and just blow past everyone. Rodgers could come out and have an MVP season and the rest of the NFC could just be left in his dust.

I'd like to see your list of QBs you would take before wentz . IMO he's at least top 7 but personally, i wouldn't take anyone over him.

This isn't the thread for this type of conversation. I was only responding to your post where it looked as if you were saying that Wentz is a top 3 QB and that Rodgers isn't 10x better. But the former is just us arguing schematics which I won't get into either.

The post SB Win reality is that things change. They always do.

Part of it is that the Eagles players played until February, while some teams have been off since the first of January. That puts the Eagles behind schedule by 1 full month. The Eagles also lost DeFillippo, that changes things. Reich is in play for Indy, that may change things. Some teams are busy rehabbing and making plans for 2018, while the Eagles are hosting parades and doing talk shows

Every team that plays the Eagles in 2018 has them circled on their schedule- it will be their Super Bowl and it will happen for 16 games in a row

The Eagles rode the Underdog wave all year long, that's totally gone now. You're the hunted instead of the Hunter. Every team that wins a Title goes through this and some players will simply not perform they way they did in 2017. Luck also plays a role and there's no way to control for that going forward.

Things look real rosy in the afterglow of a Championship win, but rust never sleeps. Good luck next year, but make sure you enjoy this one cause there ain't no guarantee you'll be back in 2018. The odds are stacked against it. NFL= Not for long

I would take Peyton Manning even at his worst rather than some of the bottom ten qbs in the NFL. Experience and brains play a  big role.

Not true, the Eagles fans on here were the only ones having faith.

Doesnt' Matter since Wentz is our Starter. He held up  all season and got injured on a freak play.
