49ers Agree to contract with Jimmy G

Pretty close to what I though...a little more though. Curious on the guarantees. Is it more Carr, or more Stafford?

I believe it's more then both for sure more then Carr's he's at 25 mil a year, Stafford was 27 a year.

Yeah, but guarantees can swing wildly. Carr got less in guarantees than several other quarterbacks who had smaller contracts on an AAV basis.

I think this will put Cousins in the market at 28. I'm sure he'll try for 30, but still don't think he'll quite get there, even with this deal. He'll surpass Jimmy for sure, but I'd say 28-28.5.

For those expecting him to take a discount was wishful thinking.

Good for Jimmy G, and if he is the real deal as we all think he is, then it will be worth it.

And it will be especially worth it early on with so much cap space and no real big 2nd contracts given out to the youngsters.

I'm interested to see how this is structured. I'm sure his salary this year will extremely high 40-50 mil
