DoleINGout Posted February 12, 2018 Share Posted February 12, 2018 I would expect for the Patriots to sign Zach Line in the event that Gronk retires because he has great athleticism to play full back and H-back. It would be advantagous to take him away from a loaded Saints offense and he'd be cost effective. Develin sucks at catching and can't do anything else but lead block occassionally. His cap hit is over a million and he isn't signed for 2019. Gronk probably is 50-50 and will want to win a Super Bowl before going out, but after the injuries and scrutiny of last season, I think he's a safe bet to ultimately retire. Anothername to watch the Pats sign is Nick O'Leary a restricted free agent on the Bills who has had limited success against the Patriots defense before. Low tender offer from the Bills and Bill Belichick will swoop him up. Mackey Award finalist his junior year at FSU and won it his senior season.
