Vladimir L
Jimmy got 5 yrs 137.5m No chance Denver and the Jaguars can keep their defense together by signing Kirk.
Soko
He will if he wants it. Might not be from the team he wants it from, but he'll get it if he's going for the money.

So I suppose Blake Bortles deserves more money than whoever the #1 pick in the next draft will be because he's played more games. You pay guys based on what you expect their future production will be, not what they've already done.

Wolverine_Joe
we kinda know what kirk cousins is. we don't really know what jimmy G is yet, but we sorta know what he can become. that's a huge difference.
wackywabbit
Yes he will. It's not about being more valuable. That's a legitimate debate about upside vs resume. But every QB above a certain level will get as much money as their leverage (mostly in relation to the franchise tag) allows them to. We won't actually see the true $/cap figure that teams put on these guys as long as that is in place.

bucsfan333
Yes. If you look at the most recent highest paid QBs (Flacco, Luck, Carr, Stafford), they were just the last young, promising QBs to get extensions. Jimmy G was next. Cousins will be next. And so on.
