Deadpulse
Quote As for the current free agents, Lewis plans to test free agency unless the Patriots offer $10 million guaranteed as part of a three-year deal in the range of $15 million to $18 million. The early vibe is that he’ll be playing elsewhere. http://www.bostonherald.com/sports/patriots/2018/02/patriots_have_work_to_do_to_gain_more_salary_cap_space?amp&__twitter_impression=true

Makes resigning Burkhead a priority move. After that we'll have to look to the draft and possibly a cheap veteran (Jeremy Hill maybe?).
Apparition
He's coveted in San Francisco. Might open the door to Carlos Hyde coming to the Pats on short money.
DoleINGout
I think Kerwynn Williams or LeVeon Bell will replace Lewis. As much as I like Lewis, I think it's either going to be a cheaper replacement or an unexpected splash like Bell.

1ForTheThumb
In what world is Belichick tossing money at someone like Bell. who's asking for a TON of money and has a lot of tread on his tires. Not to mention, he's a cancer. Have people not been paying attention to the last 15-years?
The Third Rider
we can’t really break the bank for the guy unfortunately so he is pretty much gone at this point.
1ForTheThumb
There's a good amount of FA running backs, it wouldn't surprise me if Burkhead is back. I think if he stayed healthy all season, he would have earned a decent pay day. But he's still an unknown to other teams and he didn't have much of a market last off-season. Lewis will probably get paid, but RB's are devalued and like I said, there's some good ones available. Bell, Crowell, McKinnon, Hyde, etc.
