Denver Broncos

Quarterback: 2016 first-round pick Paxton Lynch is a near-certain bust, and Trevor Siemian’s confidence comes and goes. 2017 seventh-round dart throw Chad Kelly may sneakily be the most talented passer on Denver’s roster. If GM John Elway can’t lure free agent Kirk Cousins to the Mile High City, quarterback will be squarely in play at the No. 5 overall pick. 

Offensive Line: Elway took steps to fix Denver’s 2017 line by drafting LG Garett Bolles and signing LG Ronald Leary and RT Menelik Watson. The Broncos can stay optimistic Bolles will improve after a rough first season, but Watson was a free-agent bust and LG Max Garcia needs replacing. C Matt Paradis is a restricted free agent. 

Tight End: Inside linebacker, running back, and interior pass rusher are also needs, and cornerback will become one if LCB Aqib Talib gets traded or released. Tight end is a position Denver has most struggled to fill with Jeff Heuerman and Austin Traylor presently sitting atop the depth chart. 2017 fifth-round pick Jake Butt (knee) is an unknown after spending his rookie year on injured reserve. In Demaryius Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders, the Broncos have plus perimeter weapons, but nothing in the middle of the field.

I'm not going to try and predict where Cousins goes to influence this and even if I were, I'm not entirely sure the situation in Minnesota isn't more intriguing both from a financial perspective and team foundation perspective.

I voted Vita Vea. They desperately need a nose tackle and Vea is elite. Might surprise some people, but he's superstar good and fills their biggest defensive need.trench 

Backup plan is Quinton Nelson. They need trench help and are the likeliest to land their QB via FA.

Hoping for Cousins at this point. Although I want Rosen more than Cousins.

Mayfield or trade down I like Nelson but I think the extra picks are valuable and he might be there still.

Nelson is the best guard prospect I can remember but look at Jake Long injuries happen.

Reasoning: Denver will sign a FA signal caller, Cousins, Keenum, Teddy B, etc. they will look to fortify the OL for FA QB. If they don't go OL, they will take a DB since we'll most likely cut Talib and Roby is going into a contract year.

I'm not making picks on the assumption they get Cousins, and they are desperate for QB help. 

I think Mayfield would fit well with what they do in Denver, but I have a feeling that Elway wants Allen.

I have this feeling as well, but I'm attributing it to the fact that he was at Wyoming's bowl game. Since he didn't do that for others that I'm aware of, it's easy to paint that conclusion.
