goldfishwars
Obviously there's number of defensive holes that need to be plugged, without considering who might be leaving and another hole on offense if some of our players leave (Solder, Lewis, Waddle, Fleming etc). Looking at the list of free agents, who do you think might offer good value for money? http://www.rotoworld.com/articles/nfl/77018/309/2018-nfl-free-agent-tracker?pg=1 Just looking at the defense, here's the list of available players at positions of need: Edge Defenders DeMarcus Lawrence (25) - The big name in this group after his recent production, likely to be too pricey for us to make a run atEzekiel Ansah (28) - Career didn't take the next step as expected, it would be nice - but he's missed to many games to be worth the price tag Julius Peppers (38) Adrian Clayborn (29) - Everything BB seems to like in an edge defender, won't get you 10 sacks - but is a quality edge setterTrent Murphy (27) - He's basically done nothing in Washington as an edge rusher, but could be a do-it-all master of none defender that flourishes in NE Junior Galette (30) Connor Barwin (31) William Hayes (32) Tank Carradine (28) - Big promise early in his career, derailed by injuries and being played out of positionAaron Lynch (25) - Threatened to become a big time player for a while back there, at least has the tools to be a sack threat Denico Autry (27) Alex Okafor (27) - Looked great in New Orleans before he got hurt, could be a bit of a late bloomer. Wouldn't throw money at him, but he's a better options than most Devon Kennard (26) Kareem Martin (26) Kony Ealy (26) Lamarr Houston (30) Barkevious Mingo (27) Courtney Upshaw (28) Jerry Attaochu (25) - Could be that SAM 4-3 rush end that New England employed with James Harrison David Bass (27) Sam Acho (29) Chris Smith (26) - I liked him coming out, seems to have been under utilized at Jags and Bengals. Could be a low-end pick-up that gives us something in a rotation. Ahmad Brooks (34) Dwight Freeney (38) Kerry Wynn (27) Terrence Fede (26) Erik Walden (32) Marcus Smith (26) Lerentee McCray (27) Will Clarke (26) LaVar Edwards (27) Kasim Edebali (28) George Johnson (30) Arthur Moats (30) Chris Carter (28) Justin Trattou (29) Bryan Braman (30) Defensive Linemen Sheldon Richardson (27) - Wouldn't pay big money for him at this point, but might be worth a one year rental if he wants to go to a contenderDontari Poe (27) - Still at the point in his career where he gets overpaid, but clearly we need help on the interior Bennie Logan (28) - A run stopper, but little else - not that we don't need thoseStar Lotulelei (28) - Hasn't lived up to the top 10 pick and is no more than a run stopper inside, but has an excellent calibre at leastDaQuan Jones (26) - Had a nice final year in Tennessee, might have something more to show Jay Bromley (25) Kyle Williams (34) Haloti Ngata (34) - Perhaps a last hoorah at an old rival? Dominique Easley (25) Tom Johnson (33) Tyrunn Walker (28) Shamar Stephen (27) Beau Allen (26) - Could be a cheapish rotational nose tackle Nick Fairley (30) Justin Ellis (27) - Rotational nose tackle Ahtyba Rubin (31) Frostee Rucker (34) Brent Urban (26) Mike Pennel (26) Tenny Palepoi (27) Cedric Thornton (29) - Was great in Philly, a bit lost since then Quinton Dial (27) Mitch Unrein (31) John Hughes (28) Sealver Siliga (27) Jordan Hill (27) Daniel McCullers (25) Leger Douzable (31) John Jenkins (28) - A big lump in the middle Ed Stinson (28) Tony McDaniel (33) Pat Sims (32) Phil Taylor (29) Jarvis Jenkins (29) Jared Crick (28) Billy Winn (28) - Not dissimilar to Lawrence Guy, someone who could rotate in Clinton McDonald (31) Ricky Jean-Francois (31) Arthur Jones (31) Inside Linebackers Avery Williamson (26) - Underrated linebacker with the Titans, wouldn't throw money at him - but he's intruiging Navorro Bowman (29) Todd Davis (25) Preston Brown (25) Zach Brown (28) - Would bring some sideline to sideline speed, seems to have found his niche in the league Demario Davis (29) Paul Posluszny (33) Jon Bostic (26) Anthony Hitchens (25) Christian Jones (27) Korey Toomer (29) Kevin Minter (27) Karlos Dansby (36) Gerald Hodges (27) Dannell Ellerbe (32) Josh Bynes (28) Corey Nelson (25) Will Compton (28) Michael Wilhoite (31) Steven Johnson (30) Nick Bellore (28) Julian Stanford (27) Tank Carder (29) Sean Spence (27) Andrew Gachkar (29) Kelvin Sheppard (30) Mark Herzlich (30) Rey Maualuga (31) 4-3 Off-Ball Linebackers Nigel Bradham (28) - Likely to be a big name in FA after a great year in Philly Tahir Whitehead (27) Jonathan Casillas (30) Ramon Humber (30) Paul Worrilow (27) Jelani Jenkins (26) Kemal Ishmael (26) Kevin Pierre-Louis (26) - Special teamer, who looked decent on the field - might have something LaRoy Reynolds (27) Emmanuel Lamur (28) Keenan Robinson (28) Brock Coyle (27) Sean Weatherspoon (30) Michael Mauti (28) Jonathan Freeny (28) Justin Durant (32) Kyle Wilber (28) Akeem Ayers (28) Terence Garvin (27) Najee Goode (28) Spencer Paysinger (29) Jordan Tripp (26) Marquis Flowers (26) Bruce Carter (30) Cornerbacks Trumaine Johnson (28) Malcolm Butler (28) E.J. Gaines (26) - He's been a rotational starter in a couple of places, I think he could be a good slot corner for usKyle Fuller (26) - Good final year in Chicago after a shaky start, screams Buyer Beware - but could be a big pay offAaron Colvin (26) - Excellent in the slot for the Jags, could probably play some boundary too Prince Amukamara (28) Vontae Davis (29) - If he's healthy, probably has three years left at just 29. Could be a FA bargain.Bashaud Breeland (26) - Probably the cheaper version of the above, was very up and down in WashingtonMorris Claiborne (28) - Never going to live up to the draft hype, but he's still a talent Rashaan Melvin (28) Patrick Robinson (30) - Great in the slot for Philly, been a journeyman to this point though T.J. Carrie (27) Ross Cockrell (26) - Replacement level press corner, might be an upgrade over what we have (left) Brent Grimes (34) Nevin Lawson (26) Johnathan Joseph (33) Davon House (28) Nickell Robey-Coleman (26) - Excellent slot corner wherever he has been Dontae Johnson (26) Byron Maxwell (30) Tramaine Brock (29) Tramon Williams (35) Leonard Johnson (28) D.J. Hayden (27) Deshawn Shead (28) David Amerson (26) Robert McClain (29) Alterraun Verner (29) Phillip Gaines (26) Leon Hall (33) Terence Newman (39) Marcus Williams (27) Darrelle Revis (32) Marcus Sherels (30) Johnson Bademosi (27) Brice McCain (31) Terrance Mitchell (25) Pierre Desir (27) - Was highly thought of as a corner coming out, did very little to this point but started to play well before getting hurt. Could be intriguing. Blidi Wreh-Wilson (28) Sterling Moore (28) Justin Bethel (27) Kenneth Acker (26) Bene Benwikere (26) Shareece Wright (30) Leon McFadden (27) Darryl Morris (27) Brandon Boykin (27) Sherrick McManis (30) Teddy Williams (29) Sheldon Price (27) Asa Jackson (28)
DoleINGout
There's plenty to choose from but the only notable players I think they go for are Zach Brown, Trent Murphy, Adrian Clayborn, Bennie Logan and Ross Cockrell. The third grouping under Defensive Linemen --any of those guys could be signed for cheap and the cornerbacks are mostly underwhelming or not worth more than a top three round draft pick at the position. DoleINGout
On offense, the tight ends are plentiful with Jimmy Graham, Tyler Eifert, and Trey Burton. Plus lower end guys like Zach Line and Nick O'Leary intrigue me. Running backs are good this year, I like Kerwynn Williams and Benny Cunningham there, or LeVeon Bell of course if he's interested. Recievers are good to choose from too but not great. Should see some new players though definitely after free agency is over.
Elky
Compared to Bradham, Demario Davis has a higher PFF score and his market value according to Spotrac is a bit cheaper.
Soko
Unlikely to happen, but I really want Zach Brown.
bluemushrooms
Beau Allen was pretty hyped last year in free agency. Did he suck or something in 2017?

With White already signed, we just need some form of powerback or a guy that can take 10+ carries per game.

CJ Anderson would be a good target, though, I'd be worried about our line not creating enough space for him to get rolling downhill. Our downhill RB's whether it be due to their style or gameplan, really like to smash into the LOS.... If we're going to have a RB keep smashing into the LOS I'd much rather keep Gilislee who has good straight line speed + one cut/slashing ability. He's also definitely not worth anything near what Denver was paying him so, it'll be tough to get him if he isn't down for a paycut...Unless BB decides to invest some solid cap space into RB's again like he did with Gillislee + Burkhead
Apparition
Trey Burton needs to be a target if Martellus Bennett isn't in the team's long-term plans. He's extremely versatile and could realistically play the Aaron Hernandez role from before he got all murdery.

He was a rotational piece on the very deep Philadelphia line. But I can only repeat myself: he is a very solid starting caliber player anywhere else. Including the Patriots... I would've also liked Bradham during the season, I don't think he's worth it at his current price. Same with Zach Brown. Pipe dream would be poaching Hicks, but there's zero chance for that. As less injury-prone, but unspectacular options I'd go for D. Davis or Minter. On the edge, maybe a final kick on the tires with Brooks is worth it. I don't think Murphy does nothing as a pass rusher, but depending on the health and progression of Wise, I think he could end up as a lateral move. ashnathan
I bring in Jimmy Graham as an insurance policy for Gronk, if Gronk stays? We got the GOAT tight end and another legit receiving TE to go along with him, nightmares for Defences league wide.
