Possible, but unlikely IMO

Which, to me, begs the question of whether we sign anyone to an incentive-based, pay as you go contract, as we did the last time we used the tag.

I would agree here, and would also like to see him flash another year.  It's just been so up and down for us along the DL since Ware left.

Except it doesn't sound like he will play the entire year with the tag. They are negotiating a long term deal. They just want to protect him from FA by tagging him until an agreement is reached.
