Then Kwon Alexander, Ali Marpet, Donovan Smith, and Jameis Winston the year after that. We DO have a lot of cap space, but we can't go spending it all in one place. bzane
He doesn't sound especially worried, himself. He made sort of a joke about the situation: "I'm not benched, I'm just Sitton! YAHHHHHHHHH!"

He wasn't a liability last year but he also wasn't a stand-out by any means either. At his age he can still be a good stop-gap but not one that you could count on to solidify a position going forward. This move was strictly about clearing more cap space. I expected the Bears to have close to $80 mil to work with after releasing Sitton, Freeman. Glennon, McPhee, Wheaton and Demps. I just hope that they use this money wisely. Starting with tagging Fuller instead of a long-term until he proves this year wasn't an anomaly.
AFlaccoSeagulls
He could be our starting LG along with Marshal Yanda at RG. Please?
