First round makes sense overall, good mock.

For the Partriots, I like it but don't love it. Oliver is nice, but in the second round with I think Luke Falk is a better option than Mason Rudolph and Lorenzo Carter is more needed at linebacker than Harrison Phillips is needed at defensive tackle. Considering Jaire Alexander is in round 2, I'd prefer the Patriots to pick him with their first second and grab Derrius Guice with the first.

that trade up makes no sense for the Lions. They're already low on picks and moving up a few spots to grab a RB that is likely to fall to their pick anyway just doesn't seem logical or like something Bob Quinn would do. Even if Ronald Jones gets taken in front of them, they can just wait and take Nick Chubb.

I guess we just value him differently.  I think Jones is a borderline first round talent.  When he was falling I wanted to have a RB needy team trade up to snag him, and Detroit happened to be the one I saw that made some sense.  If a team likes a guy enough, they wont risk him getting picked up if they only have to hop a few spots.

I didn't realize Detroit was low on picks though.  Plus of course you know Quinns tendencies much better than I do

This. I’d love Falk; don’t like Rudolph. I have a far higher grade on Falk and he fits the scheme better too. I’d probably go for Jones II or Michel over Guice because of the 3rd down value, but then again White is a great third down back, so it gets tricky. We’ll see...

Don't get me wrong i like Da'ron Payne but he dang sure isn't worth trading up that much for.  The only 2 players i offer a 1st 3rd and 4th to go get would be Quenten Nelson or Roquan smith. That is it and only it.  The next closest one i would offer that for is Vita Vea but i still wouldn't for him honestly because Dt is deep this year so it wouldn't be worth it.

I would much rather stay where we are in this draft since we can't get Nelson or Smith with that trade up and even then i wouldn't offer all that this year it would be a 1st and 3rd this year and a 4th next year to do it.   Then take Wynn at OG in the 1st   Mark Andrews in the 2nd at TE and B.J. Hill at DT/NT in the 3rd.

Chubb is that level of player as well though. I love Ronald Jones and he would be a great fit for what the Lions will probably run, just don't see them trading up if they both fall towards them in the 2nd. Depending on how FA and trades go they may not even be drafting a RB in round 2 honestly. They will go into the draft looking to fill needs with their early picks, and with the weak FA markets at DT, DE, and LB they may need to go into the draft needing to hit 2 of those positions in the first two rounds.
