Lawrence Timmons: Ht/Wt-6'1 234, 40 dash-4.63, Bench-25, Broad-125, Three cone drill-6.92

Marquis Haynes: Ht/Wt-6'2 235, 40 dash-4.67, Bench- 25, Broad-123, Three cone drill-6.89

That is crazy how closely they are athletically.  Timmons was converted from OLB to ILB.  More than likely that Haynes will be converted from DE to OLB.  I don't care what round, I just want this guy as a Steeler.

Yep. Been watching this guy but never made the Timmons connection. He may be a Pass Rush Specialist which is fine but he's a projected 4th Rdr which we don't have so unless he lasts to the 5th a 3rd may be too costly.

If you wanna move into 3rd Rd territory for your OLB perhaps Lorenzo Carter of Georgia. I personally don't think they are ready to move on from Dupree so a 3rd may still be to early to draft an OLB in their minds. But to me, Carter is going to be the best OLB available in the 3rd. The lazy comparison is to Leonard Floyd but I think there's some validity to it.

I don't see Carter as a pass rusher.  If he doesn't win with quickness then its a stalemate.  I think he is a great blitzer and is very similar to TJ Watt in that he can do it all and moves well in space.  Carter would be a tremendous ILB in my opinion.

Good points. A transition to ILB would be nice. I have to change my thought process with this Steeler Defense. I can't shake the idea that Watt is the Pass Rusher and the other is the Haggans/Woodley player. One that rushes occasionally but mostly sets the edge and drops in coverage. Carter excels at both of those. That Defense is gone but it's imbedded in my brain. Also, he just ran a 4.46. O.o
