diamondbull424
So. I just want to say. I really like Nick Chubb. This isn’t new. I’ve been saying this all along. And man, look at his combine numbers. 5’11 1/2” 228 lbs Forty- 4.52s Bench- 29 reps Vertical- 38 1/2” Broad- 10’7” 3 cone- 7.09 Short Shuttle- 4.25 These are Jamal Lewis type of numbers. 2nd or 3rd round, I’d easily be comfortable with taking Chubb. He is going to be an absolute animal. His power, explosion, and speed... couple with his good vision as a runner will make him a true feature back. He’s going to be a game changer. DreamKid
That broad jump number is big, and usually a great indicator for running backs.
berlin calling
has a - comparably - high fumble %. i like him, but would prefer more of a double threat like Michel (though he seems to have a real problem with ball security) Quote ELITE (150 or better) 359.0 — Darrel Williams, LSU 238.7 — Demario Richard, Arizona State 207.7 — Ronald Jones, USC 193.3 — Saquon Barkley, Penn State 191.3 — Kerryon Johnson, Auburn 181.7 — Kyle Hicks, TCU 180.6 — Justin Jackson, Northwestern 174.0 — Josh Adams, Notre Dame 155.5 — Jordan Wilkins, Ole Miss ABOVE AVERAGE (125-149) 142.1 — Chase Edmonds, Fordham 135.0 — Lavon Coleman, Washington 124.9 — Ralph Webb, Vanderbilt 123.3 — John Kelly, Tennessee AVERAGE (100-124) 114.0 — Royce Freeman, Oregon 110.0 — Phillip Lindsay, Colorado 105.8 — Rashaad Penny, San Diego State 100.6 — Derrius Guice, LSU BELOW AVERAGE (76-99) 98.6 — Nick Chubb, Georgia 96.0 — Bo Scarbrough, Alabama 90.0 — Mark Walton, Miami (Fla.) 88.2 — Ryan Nall, Oregon State 87.3 — Ito Smith, Southern Miss 86.8 — Nyheim Hines, NC State 76.3 — Jordan Chunn, Troy RED FLAG (75 or worse) 74.2 — Roc Thomas, Jacksonville State 67.4 — Akrum Wadley, Iowa 66.9 — Jarvion Franklin, Western Michigan 66.5 — Kalen Ballage, Arizona State 62.5 — Justin Crawford, West Virginia 58.2 — Kamryn Pettway, Auburn 55.6 — Keith Ford, Texas A&M 54.6 — Sony Michel, Georgia 39.5 — Jeffery Wilson, North Texas source
diamondbull424
1 hour ago, berlin calling said: has a - comparably - high fumble %. i like him, but would prefer more of a double threat like Michel (though he seems to have a real problem with ball security) source Fair. That said this is how his numbers stack up: Fresh: 4 fumbles- 237 touches- 59.25% Soph: 1 fumble- 96 touches- 96% Junior: 3 fumbles- 229 touches- 76.3% Senior: 0 fumbles- 227 touches- 227% So either that last season was a fluke or perhaps the other seasons could be explained. As a true freshman in the SEC his numbers were indeed poor, but it looked like he vastly improved going into his sophomore season. However after his serious knee injury and a quick return, he wasn’t quite the same player as a junior. His fumble percentage thus went back up. That likely was a result of playing in less than ideal shape and health. As a senior he looked much more in shape and healthy and more than tripled his fumble rate. I’d argue that his serious knee injury has impacted this number... at least on some level.
Danand
I like Chubb, already did last year where I thought he would come out. Actually think I had him as a 1. rounder due to his ability to run between the tackles. I am all for the complimentary pieces to what we have, and Chubb could be the guy to run hard for 15 carries a game, and then letting Collins and Dixon/Allen split the rest. Chubb is a player like Rashaad Penny, where they somehow suddenly break a big play just running on the interior with power and explosiveness. One of those to in the 3-5 round would be excellent.
