Absolutely, it can lose you a game. Keep in mind, if you give one four down series to both offense and defense (reserving the 4th down of both sides for the special teams), the RT/LG will be on the field at a minimum of three of those eight downs and possibly up to five (both on the punt protection and punt return teams).
