What world do you live in?????  Things are terrible with no end in sight. Ask bobby316, rickey, doumeyer how great things are, we are living in the middle of the nightmare, down south.

I live in the real world where I do my own research.  There are going to hot spots occasionally, this is a virus and like other things will spread.  I live in NY and we had that spike a while back.  But I don't think IMO it means the world ends and that there is not end in site.  My county has had a dramatic drop in cases as an example.  People should be smart and protect themselves and their loved ones the best way that feel they can.

As far as I can see, the only cases are for those that tested  positive. If anything there have been more cases than reported. For example a friend of mine was sick for 3 weeks with high fever and respiratory problems back in February. He wasn’t counted as a COVID case yet when he went for a physical last month he had the antibodies. With only 16% of the country tested it’s safe to assume that the actual number of people who have had or now have the virus, is much higher than the reported number. Also, there is now evidence showing that people who have recovered from the virus, might suffer long term affects on the heart, lungs and brain.

https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/cases-updates/testing-in-us.html

In different article, 80 pct of positive cases showed no symptom for young people.  As far as teens go, they are unreliable when it comes into common sense.  That is problem.

The thing that aggravates the hell out me is the stupidity of people.  The country does not necessarily need to close down if people would just use basic common sense.  Facemasks, avoiding large crowds, etc.  Unfortunately, people will not do those simple things, thus we have a self perpetuating virus and the need for measures from the government.

The economic impact will cause far greater problems and for a much longer period of time.  How many people will be evicted or foreclosed upon?  How many states will go bankrupt due to unemployment benefits?  How high will our taxes go such that the middle class disappears?  Groceries, small business, trade ,etc.

Ok, my rant is done.  For now.

I will fully expect to hear from you again some time later. Guaranteed.

I guess stimulus will become common practice in the country or state's welfare system.

The problem is young people have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncle, and older co workers.
Also, the NBA is taking serious the possibility of long term heart damage and are requiring all players that have had the virus to undergo a cardiac screening before they are allowed to play

as @xradesaid most of our problems could have been limited by common sense, -wear a mask, keep your distance., and wash your hands

Not to mention permanent lung damage. This can destroy careers.

Yesterday afternoon, I drove the pathetic Ford Escort and stopped at the light.  For the first time ever I have even seen Porsche this close as it was on other lane at the light. Once the light turned to green and as soon as I lead on gas 715 Cayman was already sixfold ahead of me.  What a sweet vision!  However, at the very next light, we met again. Porsche is clearly overrated. lol.

Sunday there were 77 positive test for the virus in the NFL including seven on the Jets. If you purchased the Sunday ticked  with direct tv, and they play two games and the season get cancelled you get no refund. Football is not like MLB you can't play doubleheaders. The NY Mets lost four games in a row due to the virus. Of course i will be signing up for the Sunday ticket today, Remember our last New Years eve party where every said happy New Years, this has been one hell of a new year for all of us, some much worst than others.
