Are the schools/pre schools open over the pond?

Yes my daughter just started a parents day out type “school” at our church 2 days a week. She’s only 2 so she can only do 2 days a week. But here in Texas... every school is open pretty much. But with totally different style. Parents just drop the kids off, not walk them into class. Temperature checks, etc.

Aww that’s sweet. My boys are still in preschool with the eldest starting school in September.

When we had the first three month lockdown last March it was great as the weather was nice and even though everywhere was shut we still had lots to do because it was hot. Now it’s ice/freezing most days and it’s hard to feel your doing enough with them. It’s more difficult that 12 months on too as they seem bored easily.

I hear ya on that. Believe it or not it does get pretty cold here in TX as well (snowed a couple inches last weekend). So it is hard to get out and do stuff to burn that bottomless kid energy. At least your kids have each other to play with which is good. My son isn't walking yet (10 months)... so my almost 2.5yr old cant really play with him yet. This is a reason why we have her going to a "school" 2 days a week now. Just to interact with other kids and to get used to that group environment. She pretty much only played with her cousins her whole life who are all 2 and 4 years older than her. So she's very advanced for her age. But still needs to be around kids her own age. Her 1st day was Tuesday and my wife had to pick her up before her nap (so she made it 3/4 of a day) bc she wasn't having it at nap time. Yesterday was her 2nd day and she loved it. So hopefully she's good to go from here on out.

It’s a double edged sword really. On one hand having the boys 15 months apart is great for when they play but the fights can be barbaric!!

We have always spoilt them too which has been difficult in this time as all the things we’d do at weekends are now closed. So I find myself playing with their toys or doing arts/crafts all day which further spoils them as you feel that they are missing out. So they walk all over me lol!!!

Your daughter will come on even more as she starts socialising as we found that especially with our eldest. Sometimes when they are very advanced they need the stimulates of new kids/teachers.

We try and get out most days on walks etc but they get bored after an hour which is understandable as it does get repetitive. My wife being 31 weeks pregnant doesn’t help either as she is more tired than in the first lockdown (pre pregnancy!)

Too add salt to the wound we had a break in at our jewellers just after new year so having to go through all the insurance and all that crap. 🙄

Oh geeez. I hope that insurance covers everything. Play your cards right and make money out of it ;)

Lol it could of been a lot lot worse so we can take it as just one of those things. And yeah iv never had to claim on any insurance so I’m hopeful the perception of insurance companies looking for loopholes don’t exist. They seem great to be fair so just got to wait it out!!!

I go out of town tomorrow morning and am more than likely going to be checking out of using my phone for the trip (going out to a log cabin in the woods with my fam). So all you guys behave yourselves on here Saturday morning - Monday evening) ;)

make sure to bolt your lectern to the floor and hide your laptop.  Anything can happen while you are out
