Low expectation Jets.

Damn what's wrong with our fan base? We had a heck of a FA class signing, and without debate the best draft in the history of the Jets Organization and one of the best drafts period in the NFL of all time.

Now, let me go on record saying that drafting players don't always equate to a winning team or winning formula.

But if you go by the analysts and NFL Organizations in general, they echo the same sentiment "The Jets killed it".

Now if that is the case, then the real question is "will Zac take the next step in his development"?

"THIS" is what it all comes down to.

Granted there will be growing pains with rookies, but the FA vets should take some of that pressure off of them, and help them develop.

So please stop with the 6 wins and I will be happy mantra.

The Jets have the potential, again I say potential to be a 10 plus win team and dare I ruffle some feathers here.

They have the potential and the talent to make a playoff run.

Sure there are portions which have to be addressed next year like LB, DT, S, and maybe even another WR.

But make no mistake about it, the team being fielded for 2022 is lightyears better than what we fielded in 2021. We have question marks going into mandatory camp, Becton and Lawson come to mind.

Lawson is an animal and driven, Becton wants to prove everyone wrong who questions his desire and motivation.

Becton is playing for his future, whether he knows it or not, if he wants to remain on the Jets and play up to his talent is the real question.

How many players have thrown away millions of dollars, dare I say it, a hundred million, because they became lazy, or had off the field issues?

But I look at this team, stacked at RB, TE, and an improved WR group, a team which has added a shut down corner and for the first time in decades a PR specialist and I say Okay, we're in the mix.

IMHO the dark horse in our draft is Clemens, this is a guy who is as serious as a heart attack. Who's demeanor is I come to play, kick butt, and make my presence felt.

So I believe the Jets are going to be a very pleasant surprise for the N.Y. fan base.

I'm not holding my breath thinking were only as good as 6 games and be happy with that.

This is a team which is going to surprise many this year.

Love your optimism but as Jet fans we absolutely expect the worse because that is what we have just about had since I became a fan (early 70’s). But I do feel a new vibe with this team. A vibe that will erase the SOJ mantra. However, if we get 6 wins and are competitive in all our games, yes, I will be happy. I want to enjoy FB in December.

I refuse to buy into the offseason pro and con hype. The reality is we have no clue what we will see because we are such a young team. Questions abound. Will Becton make a full season and if not, who will replace him?  Will Zach step up? Will the young DB’s hold their own?  What if Mosley goes down?  Will our run D get gashed again?  These are all legit questions and if they fall in the negative region, we will not have a good year.  Regardless, I have more hope for this season than many before it.

I just hope that being light years ahead of the previous crap doesn’t mean we will just be less stinky crap.

We lose Thursday night football because of Amazon, all they wanted was to get millions of  people to have Amazon prime at $15.00 a month. There is no end to greed in this country.

I kind of wish Amazon would take over the Sunday ticket so I can watch all the games with Prime. I don't want to get directTV. I just wish the NFL would end its deal with them.

Finally signed the lease.  Should be opening up my gym in Garden City in early November.

Just as my office is moving out of Garden City and I needed a place out here to go before work! Good luck brother!

I feel ya, and I just want to be optimistic about the season. We are not going to be a 75% throw team, not with the RB's we currently have. Health on any team is a major factor in the NFL season.

Who's to say, Buffalo is going to play as it has, or that they will not have injuries which hamper and even derail the expectations for them.

N.E. will always be a competitor, as for Miami, the Jets should have won games last year. They should have taken one from Bill's, as well as Tampa.

If the Jets can win 4 games in the division, and it is very possible, then are we to believe they cannot muster up more than 2 more wins against the rest of the NFL?

The Jets were blown out of 6 games, that means they were competitive in 11, of the 11 they won 4 against the Titans, Texans,Bengals, and Jags. Losing the other 7 by one touch down or less.

The Jets have added 2 FA in the secondary, 3 of their draft choices this year were defensive players, a shut down corner, an edge rusher, and arguably a player who could have gone in round 3 if not for some minor issues.

Now add to that 2 FA TE's, another 3rd TE considered by some the best of the lot of 2022 draft eligible players at the position, along with the highest rated rookie WR and RB in the draft.

A returning Carl Lawson, a FA offensive lineman signing pro bowl calibre player.

Well I think you get the gist of where I'm going with this, Mosley is correct in his evaluation, this is a team with playoff potential, not a team lucky to win 6 games.
