Acgott
Surprised we didn't have a topic yet. Not good news for NYG, hoping to lock him up beforehand.

That's about the same as what AB makes per year, which is what OBJ was prob going to settle for, anyway.

I like to think providing video evidence of behavior potentially detrimental to the league that could get him suspended actually could affect his contract situation. Not sure that's trolling. Not sure that's trolling. Unless it's OBJ's 4th failed/missed drug penalty (as public evidence can be counted, under the revised 2015 drug policy), it's only going to get him into the program for 90 days. It's still noteworthy because the league will certainly investigate, and ding him 1x on the weed count (it's all circumstantial evidence, but the NFL isn't a court of law, it can decide whatever it wants here). But again, he gets 4 strikes - we don't know how many anyone has most times until they hit their 4th (and get suspended).

I reported it in NFL News so I think it's newsworthy - but let's not stretch the implications. It's not getting him suspended, which is what you posted. Affect contract, maybe. Zero chance of suspension unless this is his 4th strike. Just trying to set the record straight, since few posters are aware of the drug policy. FWIW, it's all here - https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/football-insider/wp/2016/11/03/nfl-substance-abuse-policy-a-41-page-road-map-to-a-four-game-suspension/?utm_term=.db81393b7f13

Gmen
Million dollar talent. Ten cent head. At the end of the day he makes the team better, and he’s exciting to watch, so we are going to have to live with the distractions
Kip Smithers
He’s gonna be a Giant for life regardless. The Giants aren’t gonna let a talent like him go barring something catastrophic.
