Not terrible, but I would worry if the Packers don't address edge rusher in FA or the first three rounds of the draft (and I haven't read anything that suggests Carter will still be available in the 4th).  Wilkerson can add inside pressure, but my understanding of Pettine's system requires the CBs to disrupt the receivers at the LOS so that the quick outlet passes are taken out of the game, and the pass rush gets to the QB so that the CBs don't have to cover forever.  Drafting Vader Esch allows Matthews to move to OLB full time, but I just don't see Matthews being able to get consistent pressure on the QB at this stage of his career.

My thoughts are that LVE could play edge. He has great size and athleticism. When I watched him play he was always around the ball

That makes more sense, but would he not be a project on the outside? I kind of always think of a 1st rounder as being ready to play, and there is no doubt he could hit the field day one on the inside, but I would assume he would need more time to refine his pass rush technique.  I could be wrong, I only know what I read about, as I don't watch the college game, and if I am, don't hesitate to let me know.

Interesting, thanks!  What numbers are you thinking for your FA's?  IMO, just me, I wouldn't draft 3 CB's after signing 2 as FA's.  Everyone has their logic for their mocks, thanks for the mock.

My thoughts on all of the cornerbacks were that Colvin and Claiborne were 1 to 2 year fixes to fill in while the draft picks especially the later picks had a chance to gain experience as the 5th and 6th cornerbacks.

Not sure that Free Agency is at all realistic given the 17-20 million in cap space we have (depending where you want to look).

I don't think Wilkerson and Colvin are both affordable much less those 2 AND Claiborne and Robinson.

I read that there are large number of teams that are interested in Robinson.  Unless he wants a one year deal I think his contract is going to surprise some people given how awful some of the WR cores are in the league.

Sounds logical to me, thanks!

You think Lorenzo Carter is going to be there in round 4? Good luck with that idea. I like this draft other than that one is wishful thinking and I'd love to have the guy. BTW, is a really good pass rusher is there at 14 we have to stand pat and take the guy.
