Never heard of him should be cut.

He's one of Elway's famous Day 2 reaches, all-tools, bust-floor-but-let's-take-him-2-rounds-before-anyone-else picks from 2 years ago.

The one key element - the accuser didn't file a complaint until Feb. 1, 2018, according to that report.  IF that is true, then it's hard to blame DEN for taking him.   If this was known to be an issue, then bad on us for not doing our due diligence - no way you could take a guy Rd2 with a charge that was known and no resolution (again, though, no indication this was the case from the article).

Either way, we can't pass final judgment until the facts come out - but it's safe to say he's not playing for us anytime soon until this is sorted out.

63rd overall pick for Denver in 2016; started 13 games for them last season.  DT was already a need for the Broncos, this only amplifies that.

We all know this thread is going to go, This screws over the broncos because he was a decentish player and now they have to totally rebuild their d-line outside of Wolfe who has neck issues.

Sounds like this is from 2013, when he was in college, and that it isn't even clear yet if charges will be filed. She hadn't reported it until Feburary 1st 2018.

Broncos released the following statement:

Quote

"We were recently informed of an investigation into an alleged incident involving Adam Gotsis that occurred in 2013 when he was in college. Our organization was aware of his arrest on March 7, and it is our understanding that no determination has been made at this time as to whether any charges will be filed.

"The Broncos take an accusation of this nature very seriously and will continue to closely monitor the legal proceedings. This issue was promptly reported to the NFL as soon as we learned of it, and we will remain in communication with the league office regarding this matter."

I'm not sure they will have enough on him being that this case is nearly 5 years old. Still he was arrested which means they  must have something, but you'd need some pretty hard evidence in my mind to have enough evidence to get this into trial considering it was an incident 5 years ago that hadn't been reported until now...
