NateDawg
At this point, what are we playing for? We know this offense isn't championship caliber with JT. Why not get a head start on finding out who next year's QB is, with a bonus of maybe getting something going this year? I can't get with Urbz on this. He's way smarter than me, but I've seen this problem for two years now. Meyer is blind and stubborn on this one. JT is a real problem. sdrawkcab321
I can't wait for this team to actually have a real QB and not a glorified RB. I can't remember the last time we had that.
candyman93
Defense has been awful 2 weeks in a row too, especially the CBs.
candyman93
The people who defend JT Barrett are the same people who probably defended Thad Matta.

We don't win the national championship with him starting in 2015. I dont know about that. The passer he was in '14 is something we have never seen in '15, '16 and so far in '17 from him. I swear the play call reminded me of the last 2 years...

JT is garbage and you have to admit it. I know you've defended him through and through all off-season but you can't now. He's awful. Our offense is stupidly one-dimensional and it's gross. All I said was the QB that JT Barrett was in '14 is completely different than what we have seen the past 3 years. Do I really need to get on here and post about JTB being utter garbage the past two games when we heard nothing but Wilson and Day corrected him and I was relaying those things on here. Enough of you guys have been doing that. The offense isnt even a good one-dimensional because the play calling yesterday was garbage. Play calling is garbage when JTB rushes the ball 18x and Dobbins and Weber were at 16x. Weber and Dobbins were avg. around 6.3 yards a pop. How do they not want to line up and run the ball down their throats. but now they want to call plays that leads to JTB rushing it 18x and him throwing it 35x. JTB should not be leading a pass first offense. We have all said that before. This team should be about the run game, specially when they have the two talented backs they have. I would love to see some 20 package on the field, some things like Oklahoma was doing to tOSU yesterday Edited September 10, 2017 by buno67
Danger
No reason to throw in the towel yet. Should you guys run the table you'll still be in the playoff. Heck this isn't even a conference game. So long as you guys can figure some things out there's no reason to be all doom and gloom at this point. Do tell me though, what's the story with JT Barrett? His freshman year he was great, he was serviceable last year.

cortes02
I think Urban sticks with JT for now just because he may feel he can still make the playoff with 1 loss if things fall there way. In my opinion, JT just isn't the answer. There were a couple of times when he had a man open & he overthrew them. He just seems gun shy to me. I would prefer to move on with Haskins at this point & start giving him the experience on the field. In regards to play calling, I'm surprised they didn't try a couple of more screens. It seems as if the screen pass is a lost play in Ohio States offense. Finally, the inexperience in the defensive backfield just killed us. I seriously doubt Oklahoma moves the ball as well with last years DB's playing. Meyer needs to start giving other players a chance to see if they can perform better. Peace!!!

For some reason he trusted his WRs that year but for the past three years he has only trusted one player over that time and that was samuels and Noah Brown for one game last year. I just wish they would try a couple toss up plays to Victor. Dude has the ability to moss people, let him try and do it. 1 minute ago, cortes02 said: I think Urban sticks with JT for now just because he may feel he can still make the playoff with 1 loss if things fall there way. I thought tOSUs DL would make a bigger impact but to me OUs OL kept them in check. They said OU has a strong stake in saying they have the best OL in the nation, they sure played like it. Lucky enough for tOSU, they wont see an OL like that the rest of the year.

They kept talking about in during the game that Barrett has been wanting to wait for the perfect throw to an open guy, he just hasn't been willing to let it fly and give a guy a chance to go get it and make a play. If you look at the QBs we faced the last 2 games, they made quite a few throws where they threw it before a WR was open to give him a chance to make a play on the ball. I mean if we have to have the caliber of WRs his Freshman Year, which were all veteran and seemed confident in their abilities which i'm not sure if it's because they had been used to playing with Braxton who would give them a chance to make a play or not, then we have no chance. I think JT has been so caught up with trying to be perfect to not lose the game, that he only makes matters worse.
MWil23
This kid is a joke. Above average and not elite runner and sub par passer.
LETSGOBROWNIES
Came in here to post about Barrett, I see I'm awfully late. He seems like a great kid, but he has no business starting right now. He can't beat a team with his arm and he runs like a 35 year old vet in the NFL preseason. Time to move on.
