Game plan all week to scheme against him and after a half he is gone and they had no idea how to stop anyone else. It’s like they barely watched any tape on Dre. That's not how gameplanning works. Yes, they divert extra attention to him...I promise you they didn't ignore Dre'mont Jones in company in their prep. They wore down the offense and made crucial plays in clutch time. 12 hours ago, MSURacerDT55 said: Damon Arnette is not a starter Was not a fan of his game last season. I was hopeful he'd take a step forward in the offseason. I have yet to see it. Definitely something to watch moving forward. Big fan of Sheffield and Okudah in the secondary though. 12 hours ago, JTagg7754 said: Am I wrong to want to say I hope Jahsen Wint never sees the field again? No. He's not the starter for a reason. The hope is that he can develop and mature. In that sense, this was a positive experience for him considering he didn't cost us the game, but still withstood adversity. buno67
Well I know that’s not how game planning works lol it’s just strange the minute Bosa leaves, Dre’mont explodes

BobbyPhil1781
No need to hating being harsh. The guy looked dreadful in limited time last week. We were able to get by it this time but it will eventually bite us. I just hope we have someone else we can throw back there if needed instead of him. Keep him on ST or wherever he excels b/c it definitely isnt' in the secondary.

He’s been our nickel the past two weeks. He’s been great there and has shown some real man coverage skills. The problem moving him to safety though is he’s been really good at NB, and moving him means Arnette/Okudah are almost always out there instead of rotating opposite Sheffield. Figuring out that FS spot may require it though. For this year, not sure who else is going to be competent there. Wint basically boxed our corner out on the long TD pass, and Pryor got caught flat footed on the 93 yard TD run that should have just been a 20-25 yard run.

Think you have him confused with someone else Just looked..He is the 2nd lowest rated player coming out, using the 247composite

But yeah, as a player, he’s better in a support role.

Just not great or special. He wasn’t just a bum player. Still was a 3/4* guy. It just never came together for him. Not every recruit develops. Just sucks he has to play lol
MistaBohmbastic
Wint is a redshirt sophomore if I'm not mistaken. It's not worth giving up on him, no one peaks before they can legally drink. I expect him to improve, but to what degree? That's the question. Not having Kerry Coombs anymore makes it seem a bit less promising in my eyes. Look at the Larry Johnson effect on the D-line, Coombs did that for our secondary. Regardless, we know Wint has talent, he just needs to learn how to use it effectively.

I wasn't aware of Wade's plan but he has looked good at times while on the field. Having him out there doesn't seem to hurt us so I'd prefer that if it means keeping Wint on the sidelines.
