The more I think about this signing, the more I like it.

@Slappy Mc has a point. 8m for PR isn' bad. It's about what I expected.

Hopefully in this offense he can progress better than staying put. And if he goes HAM we got him for cheap

If he stays healthy and produces at last year's levels, sure.

The problem is that someone like Richardson is complimentary piece to a primary piece we don't have. There is no number 1 receiver on this team. There still isn't a running game.

47 games,  95 receptions, 1302 yards, 8 TDs

55 games, 124 receptions, 1544 yards, 7 TDs

Tell me which one is worth 8 million a year.

Hrm, 1 gets me 13.7 ypc while 2 gets me 12.45. And I get 1 extra TD (6 of which were in 2017 compared to 2 who had 3 in 2017). Plus, 1 is 6'0 tall while 2 is 5'9?

Yeah. 1 all day.

What this does too, is allows for the draft to not be needy for a WR.

My bad. I know for next time.

No way, not your bad at all. I was just crediting you for pouncing on the Twitter news and filling us in.

If anything, it’s my bad for cluttering up the forum with more new threads!

The draft is never about need. When you draft out of need, you screw it up.

I know that but this is Bruce Allen. He has no desire to plan for the future. He has no competency to plan for the future. And no, teams should not draft for need, they should be drafting BPA that makes sense.
