Suspenseful Draft Class

The draft just got more suspenseful! I’m ready to see Mel Kiper Jr. talk nonsense now because all the teams needing QBs fulfilled their needs except for Buffalo.

Within their current range, I believe the following teams will select QBs in round 1, after the free agent moves that have been made...

Denver, Miami, Arizona, Los Angeles Chargers, Buffalo

Jets and Denver are still in the market too.

Something tells me that the Giants will pass to go OL and the Browns will add a piece to their secondary with the #4 if it’s not traded.

...so the Browns will pass on a QB....twice?

I'll cut my manhood off, put it in a blender, and snort it through my nose if this happens.

Whatever this "something" is that is telling you this is broken.

The Giants won't go OL. The value of an OG is too low for a team with a lot more pressing needs. And there aren't any OT's even remotely worth the #2 overall pick.

I do not think you can leave the Giants, the Colts or the Jets off that list. Eli is 37, who knows if Luck will play again and Teddy hasn't played in 2 years, so who is he now???

I don't think FA has changed much of anything, beyond confirming that the Vikings were gonna grab their guy in FA to get that instant impact, and that the NY Jets have made their situation a bit murkier by inking Bridgewater and McCown.  As have the Cardinals by inking a pair of subpar vets.

It's still essentially Buffalo, Cleveland, Denver, Arizona at the top of the list of teams most expected to to go QB in round 1, or very early at least.  With both NY Jets and Giants right in the mix, and teams like Jacksonville and Miami probably sniffing around if the right value lands on their plate, but all 4 with starters in place to ride it out if they don't like the way the draft is falling.  Plus the same handful of wildcards with aging starters...like Pittsburgh, New England, maybe even Cincinnati or even Baltimore or Chargers.  But all more likely to try to grab a developmental guy a bit later and see how they mature while they ride out the next couple years with their entrenched starter.

It really just hasn't shifted much.  Cousins was the only guy who was going to change anything long-term for anyone...and he landed in Minny, who were already expected to go with the more veteran route in the first place.

Don't see Denver drafting a QB Round 1.

Cleveland, Arizona, New York (both), Miami, Buffalo seem like the most likely to go after a QB to me now.

Why wouldn't they? There's going to be a franchise QB available to them (theoretically) and having Case Keenum, Paxton Lynch, and Chad Kelly doesn't really scream solidification at the position. Denver is going to be in a rebuild in short time in my opinion. They are suffering from the post effects of mortgaging their future to win-now with Manning a few seasons ago.

Plus Case Keenum isn't exactly young. And he had one great year which tapered off as the season went along. I wouldn't even say their QB situation is as stable as the Browns QB situation, which I'd say is still messy pre-draft.

1. Cleveland

2. Buffalo

3. New York Giants

4. Denver Bronocs

5. Miami Dolphins

those are the top 5 teams that must come away with a high draft pick at QB this off-season in my opinion. Arizona too, but they might be out of range to get the elite guy. They might just wing it with Bradford for a season before addressing their QB future.

People have to realize that everyone is always in the QB market no matter who you have......for example Rodgers is close to a 3 year extension worth 90 million he would be the the first 30 million player a year in NFL history and that's great but.................. if they drafted a QB or let me restate that if one of the top guys dropped depending on who it is...would they snag one?........sure why not! Rodgers gets his money and rides for 3 years while we groom a guy in that span......what argue that fact.....not like we haven't been there before hence Rodgers! I don't see one dropping or that happening  but depending on who we will see.... but technically Green Bay is in the market! As always just MO!
