Lions re-sign Nevin Lawson for 2 yrs/$10.3 million

Lawson is a solid player. I'm OK with this. With free agency people always want to see the team upgrade, but sometimes retaining players that were already successful is the right move. It's not exciting because the team isn't really any better, but maybe this lets them do something else that will create an improvement.

I am hearing it is more so a 1 year 3.4ish mil contract that has incentives to get to 5 and then a team option for the second year.  If true, that is an amazing signing by Quinn.  Starter for cheap and if he earns the incentives he will likely be well worth it.

Quinn really likes incentives in contracts.

If this is true, then I like the signing. But not $5 million per for two seasons. Imo, this was not a signing that was a priority.
