Nate Solder Signs w/ NY Giants

Recommended Posts

Yeah this is the one guy I didn't want to lose. Shame they couldn't franchise him and work out a long term deal

Didn't ever consider he would leave tbh, assumed that with his son's illness he'd want to stay put.

Bad OL incoming.

He got a four-year, $60 million contract. Makes him the hightest paid OL in the league

Possible that they go with Garcia and/or Waddle at LT heading into training camp, or slide Cannon over. Not many options out there outside a trade for someone.

As DP said, it's only day two, but it does feel hard to sit here while all the exciting things are happening and have your team do basically nothing. Definitely hurts to lose Solder, but that's a hefty contract. Will be interesting to see what the plan is for the tackle spots. Who knows, maybe we're just saving money for a Suh signing?! (Yes, unlikely I know)

IMO all these guys got overpaid and considering our cap situation it would have been irresponsible to resign these guys

Every time things don't go our way we make excuses like this. Belichick is being cheap and it's hurting us.
