You remove the 8.25 but then add on another 500k to 800k depending on who had the 52nd highest cap hit. Adds roughly 7.5 million in effective cap space. You don't dump one of your best weapons for nothing if you don't have a damn good shot at using that cap space to get a great player. Something better be lined up.
