It is very hard to form decent habits in an offense like that. Putting a kid back there is not giving the kid his best chance to succeed IMO. I agree 100% with this. Bradford would be a smart pickup for them IMO.
swede700
If they were to do that, it would almost be reminiscent of Drew Bledsoe's years with the Bills, only to be replaced by JP Losman.
vike daddy
The Buffalo Bills’ offense isn’t just the worst in the NFL. It’s among the worst in NFL history, and so impossibly bad that no matter which of their three quarterbacks are playing, they have the league’s worst passing attack. There are 44 quarterbacks who have thrown at least 10 passes this season, and the Bills’ three quarterbacks rank 42nd, 43rd and 44th in passer rating. Here’s how the bottom of the passer rating chart looks: 30.7 Nathan Peterman, Bills 56.0 Derek Anderson, Bills 61.8 Josh Allen, Bills 62.5 Sam Bradford, Cardinals 64.5 Tyrod Taylor, Browns https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/11/05/bills-have-the-bottom-three-passers-in-the-nfl/ not sure Sam would be an upgrade for Buffalo... SteelKing728
Statistically he would! Lol He might be better off just waiting until next season to try and compete for a starting job.

vike daddy
Case Keenum — last year’s starter for the Vikings — is No. 25 in PFF's QB rankings during a mediocre first season with Denver. http://www.startribune.com/kirk-cousins-graded-the-no-8-qb-in-first-half-of-nfl-season/500057431/
vike daddy
Miguel Mateo @Ganas39 Case Keenum has FOUR 4th Qtr wins (would be five without missed FG vs Houston).
vike daddy
Broncos quarterback Case Keenum started the year as a turnover machine, with at least one per game for the first eight games and a total of 11. Over the past three games, Keenum has had none. Keenum: “I’m throwing it to our guys, not throwing it to the other team. Who knew?” https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/11/28/case-keenum-has-three-straight-games-with-no-turnovers/
SemperFeist
From what I’ve seen the Broncos are finally calling plays where Keenum is on the move, which has always been where he’s at his best. Bear in mind that the Denver offence really struggled last year and now they have a new OC in former Vikings OC Bill Musgrave, as well as a new QB in Keenum. The Broncos have been running a lot more play action passes and designed bootlegs of late, which raises the question of why they didn't do that at the start of the season. I suspect that it's simply a case where Musgrave didn't have a lot of confidence in his offence's ability to execute the plays - not just the play action passes, but also the off-tackle zone runs that set them up. All of which is very similar to the situation in Minnesota with Kirk Cousins and John DeFilippo.

VikeManDan
Stealing this from @vike daddy from the Packer thread. Rodgers also avoids interceptions by taking sacks too often. In fact, if we add up every quarterback’s interceptions, incompletions, sacks and fumbles and compile them all into one stat we’ll call “bad plays,” Rodgers is actually the worst in the NFL. Here are the quarterbacks ranked by the most bad plays in the 2018 season: 255 Aaron Rodgers230 Case Keenum 223 Eli Manning 221 Jared Goff https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2018/12/17/aaron-rodgers-avoids-interceptions-but-he-leads-the-nfl-in-bad-plays/
