Mind Character
Below is an overview regarding how our roster looks a the moment. I excluded players that I don't think have a shot of making the 53 or the practice squad at this point. Those are players like WR Ricardo Louis, TE Matt Lengel, WR Bug Howard etc. While we did a lot and addressed some depth on our roster, I see our team needs as the following (in no particular order): 1. young QB1, 2. Boundary WR, 3. bookend LT 4. 2 young impact boundary CBs 5. impact DE 6. impact DT 7. impact TE2 8. developmental backup C 9. impact swing G/T -------------------------------------- Post FA Roster The Browns 53-man roster breaks down as follows: Offense Quarterbacks: Tyrod Taylor // Cody Kessler // Kevin Hogan Running Backs: Carlos Hyde // Duke Johnson // Matthew Dayes; Fullback: Danny Vitale; Wide Receivers: Josh Gordon // Corey Coleman // Jarvis Landry // Rashard Higgins // Kasen Williams Tight Ends: David Njoku // Seth DeValve // Darren Fells // Devon Cajuste // Gavin Escobar Offensive Linemen: Shon Coleman // Joel Bitonio // JC Tretter // Kevin Zeitler // Chris Hubbard // Zach Banner // Marcus Martin // Spencer Drango // Austin Reiter // Donald Stephenson Defense Defensive linemen: Myles Garrett // Caleb Brantley // Larry Ogunjobi // Emmanuel Ogbah // Chris Smith // Trevon Coley // Jamie Meder // Carl Nassib Linebackers: Jamie Collins Sr. // Christian Kirksey // Joe Schobert // James Burgess // BJ Bello Corner Backs: TJ Carrie // Terrance Mitchell // Brean Boddy-Calhoun // Howard Wilson Free Safeties: Demarious Randall // Kai Nacua // Justin Currie Strong Safeties: Jabrill Peppers // Derrick Kindred Specialists Kicker Zane Gonzalez; Punter (1):Britton Colquitt; Long snapper (1):Charley Hughlett

Boundary WR, - Terrelle Pryor 3. bookend LT - Mike McGlinchey or we have to wait until next year (stay away from Orlando Brown; I don't believe in any other LTs in the 1st or 2nd round) 4. 2 young impact boundary CBs - Mike Hughes or Denzel Ward in the 1st and Jaire Alexander, Carlton Davis, or Isaiah Oliver in the 2nd 5. impact DE - I believe in Bradley Chubb's impact ability; I'm not a fan of Marcus Davenport in the 1st as he is stiffed hipped, doesn't play with leverage, and is a linear rusher. 6. impact DT - Let's give Ndamukong Suh a 2 year deal, frontloaded with big money commitment up front but giving us the ability to cut him in the 2nd year. Take a Shot on a DT later in the draft 7. impact TE2 - In a deep TE class, roll the dice on one after the 3rd round 8. developmental backup C -Will Billy Price fall in the draft due to injury; could be a value pick at the last pick of the 2nd round 9. impact swing G/T - Take a shot in the later rounds on a guard In terms of Free Agency, it looks like WR is our best bet. Mind Character
My Bills trade down mock is looking better and better to me especially after Buffalo already acquired the 12th pick without us having to do it ourselves On 3/11/2018 at 9:43 AM, Mind Character said: Trade Down Mock BC Bradley Chubb isn't Available. with Best/my Favorite Players at Positions of Need in Mind: The Draft **** Philosophy: Create as many positional units that can be a decisive force on the field. 1(1) Browns Select: Sam Darnold, QB USC 1(2) New York Giants select Josh Allen QB Wyoming 1(3) Indianapolis Colts select Bradley Chubb DE NC STATE 1(4) Buffalo Bills (via Trade) select Josh Rosen QB UCLA ****Trade with Buffalo who is willing to give up it all to get Rosen. pnies20
I agree with 2 and 8. Tretter did not impress me and we have McCourty and maybe Carrie playing on the outside at corner. I feel like one of those corners we just signed will step up and play well.

mtmmike
well if you look right now we need a center because tretter was one of the lowset ranked center coleman slides to left tackle goodbye 3 qbs rt a reserve from pittsburgh i have never seen him play so i reserve judgement cbs we amongst the worst and traded for a cb that has a 112.00 rating when throwing his direction dl losing shelton guarentees we will amongst worse in run defense running back i don not know hyde for crowell draw qb big step up wr big step up tight end draw so we improved at qb and wide receiver and the rest of the team went backwords or even solution I do not think we are going to be able to hold anybody hostage so i guess we draft fitzpatrick 2 draft price 2b draft moore 2c I hope we draft a cb here
DawgX
I'd say we still need: - QB of the future - Maybe another wide receiver. Hopefully we can count on Gordon, but Coleman still has a lot to prove. I'd look to sign Pryor and add a receiver at some point in the draft, although I don't think it's a need that we have to address that early on in the draft. - LT: Maybe it will be Coleman for this year and we focus on LT next offseason depending on how he does there, since this year's draft class is lacking in LT talent. - CB: We've got plenty of depth now, but we need an outside CB. McCourty can be the #2 but he's not exactly young. Then there's someone like Howard Wilson who is a complete unknown. I think we need to add at least one CB, maybe even two. - Rotational DE: Even with Garrett and Ogbah, we could use another pass rusher. Definitely not a first round need, IMO, but a need nonetheless. - DT depth: We had a lot of DT depth, but it's gotten a lot weaker since Shelton left. I like Ogunjobi, Coley and Brantley, but depth is now certainly needed. - RB: Hyde is solid and Johnson is obviously a great change of pace back, but we could use another guy to share the load unless the team is really confident in Dayes. We now have a FS in Randall. Adding Randall also makes us better at SS, where Peppers can now start with Kindred being a good third safety. We have some young talent at CB with some potential, but no sure fire #1 guy. We added depth at DE and TE, along with a starter at RB and a great slot guy in Landry. We still have plenty of holes to fill but there's no doubt that we've gotten better this offseason so far, and the draft hasn't even happened yet. Mastercheddaar
Future QB is #1. Good thing we have the #1 overall. If we can somehow get a franchise QB for the next 12 years out of this draft then I will consider this a successful draft. Now that we have a delicious cake ready. Here is the icing. Reliable tall WR in case Gordon does a Gordon. Sign Pryor! or Draft a WR. Future LT - This is a bad draft for LTs. McGlinchey might be the best one and even then... Stick with what we got or if we can get McGlinchey late in the 1st then give him a try. Young RB - Good thing for us this draft is deep in RBs. We can pick up a good one with #64. I'd roll with Hyde, Johnson and someone like Penny or Jones. Future #1 CB - The guys we signed are great for nickels and dimes but does anyone really see a lockdown corner in any of them? If we make a trade back with Buff, I'd say draft Ward. Make smart draft moves for BPA talent. If there is a player who we had at a #1 overall in their position and we can make a trade for him that won't cost us too much... make it and add the talent. We don't need 9-12 rookies on this roster. I'm starting to sip the dorsey flavored kool aid. That is all Mastercheddaar
BleedTheClock
I hope we stick with our OL. I don't think we need to bring in any more OT's this year. Let Coleman try to play LT. Let's see what Roderick Johnson has too. I don't want us freaking out and overdrafting an OT this year.
