With Sheldon Richardson visiting #Vikings looking to come up with more money by reworking contract of Latavius Murray whose $5.15 million salary for 2018 is guaranteed if on roster past Friday. They're hopeful something to be done on Murray, who could be released if declines a cut.

exaaaaactly. Zimmer has to be intrigued, right?

or will the character concerns be too concerning?

In terms of character, I think Zimmer May consider this attempt to be pretty high football character.

Also a good reminder that Jarius is just clutch when it comes to third down and more.

I'm excited to add a guy like this...

Like Osemele, we will probably bail if bidding gets outrageous. But it's what we need to take us to our defense next level.

Honey Badger is unreal and would be awesome here if Richardson doesn't work out.

Even with Kirk Cousins massive deal becoming official, the Vikings still have plenty of money to make the Richardson signing at his stated price without moving Murray but they could be looking for breathing room to make the situation more palatable to them. Currently, they have $27 million in cap room according to OverTheCap. If they do find more money, the Seahawks could find themselves on the outside looking in on their Pro Bowl caliber defensive tackle. They're currently hovering around $20 million in cap while they may be looking to shed salary with an Earl Thomas trade.

Freeing up his $8.5 million could help them up their offer on Richardson but the two situations don't appear to be linked in any meaningful way. The Seahawks are just exploring all their options; so it's not necessarily a race to see who can meet Richardson's demands first. Pete Carroll and John Schneider generally stick to their budget on free agents, meaning the fact that Richardson headed off to find more money may already signal they're not going to get a deal done.

How about we just screw the Seahawks over again, trade for E.T. and then still sign Sheldon :D

dude has some strong hands... when he makes contact, people go down.

i chuckled at one of those breakdown vid tweets you posted. he rag-dolled multiple o-lineman and made it look easy. putting him beside linval would be downright unfair.

I think we should sign him and the honey badger.... and somehow afford it tbh...

A boy can dream right?

I mean between trading or releasing players like Murray, Wright, and Robison they should be able to find some room. And Dejo becomes a major trade asset in the event that the honey badger is a Viking.

I wonder if there are any vets who would be willing to restructure to free up some cap room?  Rudy, Harry?
