With this mock I have the Rams continuing the theme of not settling for hope of repeating, but they are aggressively position themselves to keep the best talent on the field. With these additions, we should be ready to be a serious contender in the NFC this year. Good luck trying to name some of our additions this year, I see a lot of nick names for some of our new additions.

1. ) LA Rams trade Round 1 #23, Round 6 #24, 2019 Round 6 and Mark Barron-OLB

Cleveland Browns trade Round 2 #1 and Round 2 #32

The Rams have been very aggressive all offseason while making smart moves. They decide to move back in the draft and grab 2 top 40 talents in this years draft. Mark is reunited with his old defensive coordinator. This is a smart move for the Browns because the still have 2 top 5 1st round picks along with another 2nd round still at #4. The Browns get a very good tackling, playmaking 4-3 OLB that is still in his prime. He will be another young talented veteran piece to add to an excellent offseason by the Browns surprisingly. The Rams let a very good player go, but he didn't fit our defense, plus we grab another top pick in return.

2.) LA Rams trade Round 6 #2 and Round 6 #21

Buffalo Bills trade Round 5 # 170

The Rams decide to stay very aggressive and jump up another to grab a player that they feel they can groom and be a nice addition for us in the future. The Bills recoup another pick to help build the depth of their up incoming team.

2018 NFL Draft-

2. Arden Key-OLB, LSU

With the Rams trading back, Ladry and Hubbard are off the board already. So Wade beats the table on drafting arguably one of the drafts most explosive and talented Edge Rushers in the draft in Arden Key. Key has the gifts to be an absolute superstar, he loves football. He is a freak of nature, he has all the intangibles to be an dominant piece in our 3-4 defense. He is fast, excellent tackler, good awareness and is a natural born leader. I truly believe that a great coach like Wade, with people like Aaron Donald will help him with some of his inconsistencies. I feel that Key has a chip on his shoulder and he is going to prove to people why he should of been a top 15 pick.The Rams could have there true Robert Quinn replacement right here. 

2. Tim Settle-NT, Virginia Tech

The Rams gamble once again paid off as they just grabbed another absolute playmaker. Tim is explosive off the ball, great power and leverage, great shed and tackler. Settle is an plug and play starter day one, instantly improves our run and pass defense.

3. Equanimeous St. Brown-WR, Notre Dame

The Rams are not sitting back hoping that last year wasn't a fluke on offense. They are not going to rely on Josh Reynolds just instantly replacing Sammy Watkins impact and production. They grab a very big, fast and explosive route running receiver with very good hands. Equanimeous has went under the rader in this draft, mostly because of the terrible and inconsistent quarterback play that he has dealt with. St. Brown numbers where greatly affected that, he will come in and compete for a starting position in our receiver rotation. St. Browns speed and height will be huge for us as our down the field specialist. 

4. Frank Ragnow-OC/OG, Arkansas

This is another player that the Rams run up and grab in this years draft. If it wasn't for an injury, Ragnow could of been one of the top lineman in this entire draft. Frank will come in and learn from Sullivan, and will take over when ready. This will give us some talented depth on the offensive line.

4. Ja'Von Rolland-Jones-OLB, Arkansas State

JaVon was the 2x Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Year. He had 13 sacks this year, and tied the NCAA record of 44 in his career. This edge rusher is fast and explosive with a relentless motor. He will come in as a pass rushing specialist and then take over as a starter when ready. He has some dangerous moves and power off of the edge that make him a problem for the opponents. 

5. Chukwuma Okorafor-OT, Western Michigan

The Rams jump up into the 5th round to grab their developmental left tackle of the future. Okorafor has all the intangibles to be a left tackle in the NFL. He has the size, vision, heart and excellent quick feet. He needs to come in and learn from Whitworth, and continue to build his strength up. With the coaches that we have on offensive line, they should be able to help him improve his hand techniques and placement.

6. Bernard Avery-ILB, Memphis

Thanks to The LBC I believe for telling us about him, I really like want I see out of Avery. Yes he does remind me of Danny Trevathan as a prospect. He is a heat-seaking missile that has great instincts on the field. He is another gem and possible late round steal for the Rams.

6. Natrell Jamerson-S, Wisconsin

Natrell will come in and fill the gapping hole that Cody Davis left in our safety rotation and special teams spot. Jamerson is extremely fast and versatile option for us, he will add some great talent and depth to our back end of the defense. He has good vision and instincts, strong tackler and play making ability. He didn't move and start at safety into his senior year, as the season progressed he got better and better, even showing out at the East-West Shrine game, and at the Nfl Combine.

6. Lowell Lotulelei-NT, Utah

The Rams decide to take a flyer on a prospect that was very disruptive last year, but only showed flashes of dominance this year. Hopefully with playing under some great coaches, we can get some consistence play out of Lowell. Lotulelei will come in and compete for some playing time in an very deadly defensive line.

That trade with the Browns is way too stacked in our favor, and I'm having a hard time seeing Landry fall to the 2nd. I am having some doubts that he's available at #23. I also have doubts that either of the 4th round picks are there.

Hey jrry, I'm a little shocked by your responses to this mock. I really put a lot of thought and time into this. I feel that because by giving up our 1st rounder and jumping all the way back into the 2nd round, along with 2 6th rounders (Basically a 5th) and a very talented perfect fit, plug and play starter for Greg Williams defense. That would make up for the 2 2nd rounders that the Browns gave up. I guess I'm not seeing how unrealistic that mu trade would be basically. Especially when we you are doing a similar trade where you are giving up our 1st and 4th for their 2 2nd rounders (1 and 1 late in that round).

Now my 2 4th rounders, they are both projected 3-4 range on basically every football site. Now I do feel that Ragnow I see a little more because of his talent being a 3rd rounder. The picks we're giving up comes out 792.4. The picks they're giving up come out to 1120. That means that they would have to value Mark Barron as the 58th pick in the Draft (2nd Round Pick #26) for your deal to be about as even as my deal is. Nobody values Barron as a second round pick. If they did, we'd have already traded him. 

As for Okoronkwo and Ragnow, I don't see them lasting nearly that long. I think both are Day 2 picks. Here are some rankings for support:

It's possible that Okoronkwo falls to the 4th. But I doubt both him AND Ragnow fall to the 4th. And I doubt Okoronkwo falls to our late 4th round pick (#35). It's possible, but it's a very optimistic scenario (especially with Okorafor also falling to the 5th).

That would be about equal. But I'm not sure why the Browns would want Barron. They're set at LB.

I have an extremely hard time seeing Landry drop to the 2nd round.  Arguably the 2nd best edge rusher in the class.  I honestly have given up hope of him being there for us at 23 to be honest.

Mostly because he would be a better fit in Greg Williams defense. Awesome, I just edited my mock to make it more realistic.I know you won't like my first pick, but he could be a absolute steal for us if he utilizes his full skill set.
