But backup QB is important as we all know. Having 3 on the roster limits competition for a roster spot imo and could breed some complacency. He was another in a long line of middling players that got chances on bad Raider teams over the years. He got hyped up like others before fizzling out with other teams who had more talent. I'm expecting 11-5 range with a divisional title. Chiefs will finally take a step back with Mahomes being in his first season. Super Bowl? Probably not but the Patriots have to take a step back at some point. AFC is gonna be pretty competitive this year. Unless they've fixed their defense, they're at best a game worse then last year at 9-7. Alex Smith had a career year last year and Mahomes will not match that as a "rookie".
