agarcia34
With the coronavirus spreading the NBA came out and said they're prepared to start playing games with no fans in the arenas. Pretty crazy makes you think about how serious it is. Would be a lot of money the NBA would lose if that happened.

It is everyone has already been alerted to work at home here from the military bases
Gannon12
All defense contractors must be able to work from home. They are shutting it all down
agarcia34
I been working from home for the past 4 years. But I live in an area that hasn't really gotten hit by it yet. I can only imagine living in the Seattle Washington area. But finding some hand sanitizer been a pain in the @ss tho.

Was going to go on contract in Afghanistan again but we can’t now. Everything is halted from this and it’s spreading too fast
BayRaider
What do you guys do for a living, Married/Kids? I’m a Card Dealer at a Casino, love my job. Fiancee is a RN. No kids yet. Do you guys travel? Favorite place is Monterey, could live there one day. Any of you not from Cali should visit there. Way better than SF which is massively overrated, very dirty, no where near as beautiful, and biggest homeless problem in the country. Monterey is phenomenal. As for free time, Raiders, A’s, NFL as a whole, Traveling (went to Prague last year, gonna go to Bruge Belgium this year), and spend time researching and being a trial subject for LHON disease. A DNA Mutation that makes males go blind somewhere from age 15 to 40 (currently 31) with a 82% Penetration Rate (likeliness). So I participate heavily in that community, one of the very few that was found out about before onset (did genetic testing for the heck of it, which everyone should do). Lifes short, live every day like your last. Edited March 8, 2020 by BayRaider

Bounce around between networking and security defense for the DoD and funny enough millwright work if my salary goes below 150k I bounce back to Millwight work building saw mills paper mills metal casting plants ect as a fabricator/welder because the 2-5k a week plus sub it’s just too easy to collect it. I have 3 degrees plan of getting another this year to take the networking program I got and software engineering to the next level because a bachelors isn’t enough now days. i do a lot of out reach programs for the homeless & poor communities. I also do conservation on my own time for amphibians. Dabble in paleontology and geology. So when I go fishing I will be doing a lot more at the same time. I am California born and raised but have lived all over the country. I love South Lake Tahoe CA lived their for 10 years before its my favorite place especially when I was skateboarding and snowboarding. Plus excellent punk music also and you are not far from Reno or Sacramento

Gannon12
Ok I added Shannon Sharpe because Tim browns TL floods mine wow! He is just out of control. I’ll tell you know if you haven’t met Marcus Allen. He is a perfect gentleman and will sign and do photos. When he was still with the Raiders He signed my jersey right after a game in LA. But everytime I see him I always get photos with all Raiders and his Raiders jersey. The funniest person is by far John Madden excellent person inside and out wish he was around 24/7 in my regular life worst people I’ve met to get autographs or just meet John Elway was the worst. He goes straight Michael Jordan and his **** don’t stink just a bad human. He treated all the kids waiting for an autograph like pieces of crap. Like unbelievable rude and ridiculous I’ve met Elway many times after football games at the casino ect and same self righteous personality

May have to tell me more about your side jobs, sound pretty sweet. And yeah I volunteer for homeless sometimes but I usually do friendly visitors with elderly at the hospitals or nursing homes. Get pretty stoked when I find a football or space old guy, or biology. South Lake Tahoe is pretty awesome, only been there once. But that’s probably the second most beautiful spot in Cali behind Monterey imo. 3rd would be San Diego. Three absolutely stunning places. At one point I felt that pain for 4 years of homelessness and I will always help the unfortunate. That is awesome that you do that also. I am originally And grew up in Southern California. San Diego is meh I would rather be in Ocean Side. Too many right wingers. I absolutely love Monterey it’s the best part if you can consider it part of the bay. The only down draw is the water is chemically laced can smell it it’s bad. Can’t take a proper shower. the Joshua Tree National Park is an awesome time and don’t forget big bear one of my favorite places. how can you even live on that not to be offensive I live in northern Oregon but work in Washington normally. I moved for financial purposes. Before that I went for the glory of lake tahoe to ft Knox then now back on west coast where I belong. See California needs to do something people can’t live on these wages and just letting gentrification happen has ruined California. Regular people in 1965 that worked at a gas station could bring home real money now they starving you to death with debt Edited March 9, 2020 by Gannon12

I was talking after taxes dude onetime we were on job and I’m on my day off I rolled off base found these rare piece of petrified wood I knew was rare sent it to my mom got 47k for it I gave her 15k of it for helping. California needs to change to the working mans state and not Silicon Valley. Yes I make a lot now but I worked hard to get where I’m at and everyone deserves the chance to do it as well. I just don’t agree with the rent and taxes there. Hope it changes soon cause I’ll be back soon but in Santa Barbara

My fiancee and I make about 10k net combined, so we get by. But owning a house, basically impossible. My dad is gonna retire in Vegas next year cause it’s dirt cheap compared to California. You can’t retire in California.

California makes you a slave to debt atm. Once the reform happens then it will go back to normal. Nevada is a good state all together but not California. California is the best state in the U.S. I’m biased though because that’s my homeland. Hope you guys do alright. But Nevada is the California stepchild. Or like I do up here because you are immediately hated for being from California. Imma take your guns we changing your laws Ahahhhahaahahahahahahahaha they know I’m just joking but they say that every 5 minutes.
