FalconFan13 Posted March 22, 2018 Share Posted March 22, 2018 Congratulations Falcons you have signed the most unknown guy in FA Whats funny is after 7 years at TE and from what i could tell from other fans of teams he has played for most of them liked the guy quite well as one of those solid contributes hard working guy every team loves to have. Still even though i know football quite well i somehow have never heard of this guy myself or remember seeing his name when we played any team with him LOL It's like a 1 yr 1 mil contract 200k guaranteed so pretty much vet min type contract. Skins, Bears, 49ers im looking at you is he straight trash or like what i've heard and maybe a small upgrade from Toilolo for 4 mil cheaper. Thats what im thinking as well maybe round 3 or 4 or so if we can get a good DT or 2 early in the draft and a solid #3 WR +DT/DE depth in FA i think we will be ok. Would you take Toilolo at 5 mil cap hit over him at 1 mil cap hit though or is he close enough talent wise that you would rather use that 4 mil somewhere else and run with Paulsen. Hill at NT is my man crush in this draft honestly i think he will be like Grady is for us a mid to late round steal if we can get him. I will somewhat disagree though on the giving away picks because i think we need alot more depth than we have. If we can do a 3rd and 6th to get him im ok with but nothing more. I will say if we can pull off Mychal Kendricks at LB with a 4th round pick then get those 3 in the draft while giving up a pick like a 6th. + hitting a DT and WR in FA still then im with you we are money. From what I remember of him he wasn’t that good of a blocker as a bottom roster player and dropped a good amount of passes. I would rather take a day 3 TE instead. After reading some Falcons draft stuff online(maybe from Scar, maybe not) I think we could go Hill in the first. When we lock onto a guy, we dont care where we take him if we think he is an impact player, and we spent a lot of time with him at the Senior Bowl.
