3/22 Where is Tombert?

Since at least one of Mike Tomlin or Kevin Colbert have attended the pro day/private workout of every 1st round pick since 2007 except for Ziggy Hood, today's location of Tombert will offer a valuable clue to where they're headed with round 1 this year.

So... where do you think Tombert will be today?

A. Both at Ohio State pro day, same as always
B. Both at Stanford to see Justin Reid and have dinner with him
C. one at Ohio State and one at Stanford
D. No one at Stanford
E. No one at Ohio State
F. one or both at Missouri or Notre Dame

Personally I think C

I will add that Reid has already been scheduled for a visit with the Steelers.

It's C from what I've heard, with Tomlin at OSU and Colbert at Stanford.  Sounds like Scouts at Mizzu, positional coaches at ND.

So there's a hint on the draft:  OSU and Stanford has high picks we like, Mizzu has a developmental guy, ND has a mid round guy.

so far, Tombert have been to:

Wake Forest
Georgia
Alabama
Virginia Tech
Ohio State
Oklahoma State
Penn State

Dinners:
Joshua Frazier/NT Alabama
Jessie Bates/FS Wake Forest
James Washington/WR Oklahoma State
Tre Flowers/S Oklahoma State

Frazier isn't in contention for a top 50 pick; nor is Tre Flowers. So.

S Jessie Bates
S Terrell Edmunds
S/CB Minkah Fitzpatrick
S Ronnie Harrison
S Marcus Allen
CB Denzel Ward
CB Anthony Averett

LB Roquan Smith
LB Lorenzo Carter
LB Tremaine Edmunds
LB Sam Hubbard
LB Jerome Baker
LB Rashaan Evans

DT Tim Settle
DL DaRon Payne
DL DaShawn Hand

QB Mason Rudolph
G Isaiah Wynn
RB Sony Michel
WR Calvin Ridley
WR James Washington
TE Mike Gesicki

We may have to trade up to grab Justin Reid. I think our pick itself will be rather surprise. This is a really strong quarterback class; but only three likely will draft one in first round. Expect more quarterbacks to drop.

Don’t think he’d gonna be the pick even if he’d available.

Nope. I predict Evans in the 1st and Washington in the 2nd.

As of now I’ll say either LVE, Evans or Hubbard in the 1st and offensive player somewhere in 1st 3 rounds.

Again my dark horse for our 1st is Payne.

Because Evans is gone or because they/you like LVE more?

I edited Evans in after my original post...just stating some ILBs honestly...Tombert were at Bamas pro day...where they go pro day wise and who they have dinner with is big sign.

Even with Bostic signed, they have junk behind him and Williams...they’re limited in their own right.

Another thing to consider is they don’t have anything behind Dupree and Watt and we don’t know what their doing with his option.

Why isn’t Hubbard getting the same style of hype that’s Bosa got? I was looking last night and they seem like similar players. Very smooth but with some power. Is it because OSU rotates so much? I didn’t want a new thread for this question.

I would say that he showed less on tape than Bosa.  He is a special athlete and may be really good after some training.
