Create the Big Board - 1st Round Rankings for Dallas - #21

With the Combine over, it is time for us to create the Dallas Cowboys Big Board. Jerry and Co. have been fired and you are our new GM. How many first round grades will we have?

Rules: Each poll will last roughly a day. In the event of a tie, the most posted selection will advance. Runoffs will be implemented at my discretion. Some options will list players, others will list positions. In the event of a position is selected, the following day will present the options for specifically that position.

Note. You cannot draft a player to trade. No one is willing to trade with you. Create your board.

Note 2 - Only 9 players will be listed at any given poll. So if you want to lobby to name someone specifically, please go ahead and mention that person. If not - use the positional option.

FWIW. I only see 4 other people that should have first round grades. Everyone else would be round 1-2

Mayfield is a potential top 5 pick and a potential franchise QB. How is he not automatic at this point??

For me it's 

To short

Not going to be a pocket passer

Survived off the play breaking down and him dancing around behind the LOS forever. 

Didn't take snaps under center

Major off the field concerns with maturity and alcohol that show up on the field 

 

 

I'm traditional when it comes to QBs. I like big tall pocket passers with high character. Bakers spot is coming soon though. I voted for the WR, who is also to short, but at least he's young and has less red flags.

Because of Manziel.   Even though Baker Mayfield is far ahead in qb skill where Manziel was.  I'd love for us to take him.   Make Dak a little uncomfortable.  I like that 70% completion rate on that high of a volume passing.

How many drops did Allen have in college? Would you say baker, at OU, had a better supporting cast? Or do you think Wyoming is the power house? When Allen played with pro caliber players at the senior bowl, did he do well by your estimation? How many times has Allen been video taped running from the cops?

Yes Allen was amazing on his 9 completions.   Definite #1 overall pick now.

Perhaps Baker should go #1. After all, taking 100% shotgun snaps and running around for 13 seconds behind the LOS until the coverage busts, always translates to the NFL.
