John Elway Gets new rule passed.

So last year we had an un named player we were getting offers for that had to go on ir. Many think it was Corey Nelson.

Long story short teams can trad players on I.R very interesting.

Interesting rule change. More flexibility with rosters is always a good thing. 

But there's no way a team would trade for Corey Nelson while he was on IR in a contract year.  Had to be someone else.

Who do you think it was Carlos Henderson lol? It had to be a guy who could of played. Chad Kelly? Idk

Shane Ray got off IR before the trade deadline though.

It's a good rule to pass. If a team wants to accept that risk, go for it. No reason with the return designation they shouldn't be able to trade for an asset.

I think Elway would have considered putting Barrett or Lynch for IR-return last year with this in mind.    Not that Lynch would have netted anything of note.  But it might have made him aware of the problem with the rules last year.
