If something does indeed happen to him, Kessler is serviceable enough to step in. If they do keep him, cheap backup who still has two years left on his contract. The cheap contract is an underrated aspect of this trade. Its way better getting a backup on a cheap rookie deal than have to dish out 2-5M for one.
