It depends what you are looking for.  I feel like Chubb and Davenport we'd get another at best Nick Perry (3 cones are all in the same ball park 7.20-7.35, bigger, less fluid).

Landry is by far the quickest and is really the better pure pass rusher, which we need and I'd value more. His quickness jumps off the table more. Landry's 3 cone was 6.88 which is on par with what Clay's was 6.9). That is another reason I'm also on Leighton Vander Esh (pass rushing ILB, 3 cone of 6.88). I'd like more fluid athletes than stiffs.

I mean a healthy Nick Perry is not bad lol. I actually think they're more athletic  than Nick Perry tbh.

Honestly I get the vibe that James or Landry are the preferred picks for GB. I think James would require a trade up though (maybe with Oakland, via the Reggie relationship).

If neither are viable (although I think Landry is almost a lock to be there), I think a group of Josh Jackson, Vander Esch, Vea or Payne make up the targets. But honestly they would likely try to trade down.

I don’t think GB is high at all on Davenport.

I like Derwin James, but I really wonder about his overall fit in our scheme.  We need boundary corners in the worst way possible, and Josh Jones seems like he's headed to that SS/LB hybrid role so where does that leave James?  Is he going to have enough of an impact at SS?

I think James becomes your slot defender and star position, like Woodson. He said GB discussed slot corner with him.

We need boundary CBs yes... but honestly the only guys that fit that in the first for GB is Jackson and Oliver (I mean ideally given measurables). And that can be had in a trade down. Plus does anyone think any of the corners on the roster at this point can play the slot? King, Tramon and if they resign House are all boundary corners.

They can justify the pick because Pettine said, your 3rd CB is a starter. Plus I think as they age you could do interesting things with both Jones and James as they are hybrids with one being a LB/S and the other being a CB/S.

Just my thinking though

Wouldn't Tramon be our boundary to let him play in the slot?

I'd argue more explosive as well.

Nick Perry 6'3'' 271

40- 4.64, bench 35, vert 38.5, broad jump 124, 3 cone 7.25, 20 yard shuttle 4.66

http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/nick-perry?id=2533048

M Davenport 6'6'' 265

40- 4.58, bench 22, vert 33.5, broad jump 124, 3 cone 7.20, 20 yard shuttle 4.41

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/marcus-davenport?id=2559817

B Chubb  6'4'' 269

40- 4.65, bench 23, vert 36, broad jump 121, 3 cone 7.37, 20 yard shuttle 4.41

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/bradley-chubb?id=2560043

Pure numbers wise, they are all pretty much the same guy. Perry was stronger. Chubb and Davenport have a better 20 yard shuttle. Jumps/40s are all pretty much the same

Landry 6'3', 252'

40- 4.64, bench 24, vert 36, broad jump 119, 3 cone 6.88, 20 yard shuttle 4.19

http://www.nfl.com/draft/2018/profiles/harold-landry?id=2559923

Look at the quickness numbers. We need a rusher, not another collapse the pocket Elephant end (we have 3 quality DL and Perry that have that skill set.)

I think any competent DC would find multiple positions for James. Nobody is gonna limit him to a position and rightfully so.

In theory, that works amazingly.  But realistically, who'd make that kind of move?  Let's assume the Browns and Packers had each other's pick and the Jets/Colts trade never happened.

Who knows. Browns, Jets, Broncos, would all be possibilities if they really liked one specific QB. We probably wouldn't get a King's ransom but there simply isnt that cant-miss guy in this year's draft that GB would have to take at 1.

Huh, the bench numbers are interesting because I figured Davenport would have surpassed Landry there.

We need guys who can get to the passer, doesn't matter how they get there.

And Perry's 38.5" vert at 271 lbs is noticeably better than either guy. That's tremendously freakish.
