They know that the offensive line has been miserable, and Nelson is the kind of talent that could go to any team in the NFL and make it better instantly. I think they will try to protect Keenum.

With Rosen, Darnold and Mayfield gone, I think Elway skips on the QB and takes Minkah Fitzpatrick. Nelson would be a great pick too.

He tells Keenum he's the guy this year and in 2019 they begin their search for a Franchise QB.

Not sure what the procedure is here for a tie but Elway isn't going to want another Paxton Lynch situation. The odds of him picking the fourth QB of the draft with the fifth pick seem so remote that you have to realize this mock is just for fun. Out of the thousands of mock drafts out there it is unlikely that any of them will get the first round all correct. We shouldn't think that this is going to be any different.

I am good with whoever is running it (@semperfeist) simply picking whoever they like best of two tied players when the time comes for the poll to close.
