It's 3 years 7 million. I'd say that's a steal.

Really happy with this.

Far better than the, what $3.3 M the Raiders had him at?

King made 7.5M the last 2 yrs with the accelerated cap hit for OAK.  So hard to argue the value.

And FWIW its a max value of 7M.   So it could even be less than that.  Really hard to argue with the deal.

lol... revenge from a punter. If your punter is getting revenge, it means your offense sucks and you're having to punt a lot.

Could also mean he's pinning back teams and letting the defense have some better position to work with.

On occasion. Then he'll either muff one short, or get a 15 yard penalty celebrating a roughing the kicker penalty. Or Bronco fans should know.... throwing a ball at an opposing player.

He's a great punter, but his try hard to be funny stuff will wear on you.

Not to completely highjack the thread, but this seems to be where all the King talk will be. I like this move because those two prospects are freaking incredible. Cutting King and drafting one of those two means we get younger, cheaper and a lot less distracting while likely getting a similar product.

It depends - if it's all off the field, the DEN locker room won't really care.   If it's on the field...well, different story.  We'll see.

Thing is, the cost factors in - at 3.3M per year, he's one of the most expensive punters around.   At 2.3M AAV, he's now just reaching top-10, and that's the MAX deal.   If he's not performing on the field, then he won't cost us even that much.    For DEN, the risk-benefit equation is really tilted in our favor more than him staying in OAK.

That's probably the one angle that justifies letting King go for OAK.   All kidding aside about Gruden's penchant for old vets past their prime (although it's hard to resist lol), this is the one justifiable reason to have let King go in the offseason.
