Who would you trade up for?

Recommended Posts

Are there any players that you would be willing to trade up for?  specifically in the first two days of the draft. For example is there any player you'd be willing to give up our first and second for?

No. This draft is actually deep at the positions we need. No reason to trade up. Id rather trade back and pick up extra picks.

If the following players fall I would move up for them.

Barkley, Chubb and Edmunds.

As an example, if Barkley were still on the board at 6, I would try to move up for him.

Outside of Barkley at 6. No.

Looks like we're going to be a team that builds through the draft and doesn't really plug holes in free agency. Which is fine, we just have to draft really well now and gain as many picks as possible all the time.

This is pretty much my thoughts.  I would be willing to move up in the second and grab Hubbard or an OG depending on what we do in the 1st.  I too would rather drop down and gain more picks but that's not always worth doing (ie I wouldn't drop 5 spots in the 1st for a late 3rd round pick)

Mostly agree with this, the one exception is DE. If Chubb were to somehow fall withing a few spots of us, I'd like to see them pull the trigger and move up to get him.

I don't want Hubbard at any pick.

Barkley is the only one in the first round. In the second, there are lots of guys that I'd trade 10-15 slots up for, but not guys I expect to be there at 5-10 in the second round

I would not trade up for anyone unless Quinton Nelson drops and it would only cost us a 3rd to get him.

Barkley,Nelson,Edmunds,James,Chubb in that order. You could talk me into Minkah or a small Vea move up

The only player I would trade up for would be a franchise quarterback there are holes all over our football team & since we have a franchise QB already the answer is no one.

I would give up more to move up for James Chubb because Defensive sack specialist are in high demand a Running back like Barkley is worth the pick no matter where your picking but for a Franchise Back or Wide out I am not paying extra to move up to get them period!

Back in the day we were drafting 2nd over all had a  chance at Peterson took Calvin instead today if we were sitting at two it would be Chubb or Barkley no wide out is worth the pick over either player yet I wouldn't over pay for either player because you need 11 starters on Off and 11 on Def not just 1 player.

Given the Lions general history of drafting, they could trade this year's 1st and next years 1st for a guy like Barkley and probably end up coming out ahead. Given how Fournette and Gurley have made Bortles and Goff look, a dual threat beast like Barkley could be huge for this team.
