Went Landry > Ridley

Davenport isn't a 3-4 OLB and Landry frankly would scare me a hell of a lot more as a Chicago fan (mostly because neither of our OTs do particularly well vs Landry style rushers)...

Ridley I went as the runner up choice because GB has a chance to win every game they play, if only because of A-Rodgers.... and a guy who can get open consistently mixed with admittedly the best QB in the league is a deadly combination.  I don't think we have one corner who I'd trust to cover Ridley, personally.

Davenport was a 3-4 OLB in college. If Nick Perry can play OLB, Marcus Davenport can.

Pettine seems to employ more of a 4-3Under look, though, where one of the edge-rushers (LEO) is more like a 4-3 DE. The other (SAM) is like a traditional 3-4 OLB. We have capable starters at both positions (Perry, Clay respectively) but behind them, we have a few candidates for the SAM (Biegel and Fackrell) but no real good fit to backup LEO (mayyybe Fackrell). I think Davenport would be a great investment there.

With that said, Pettine defenses have rarely featured an elite pass-rusher and seem to get good mileage out of just decent/serviceable ones. OTOH, his secondaries are often stacked, and ours is a major question mark. I can see us put premium value on DBs in the draft. Jaire Alexander (who I'm kind of lukewarm on) is a guy I would not be shocked to see us take at 14.
