The Andy Reid Coaching Tree

Is Extensive!

Currently supplies 1/4 of the leagues coaches and I think more are on the way.

Guy is an awesome teacher just wish he could win a SB instead of training the SB winning coaches

Despite no SB wins will he still make it to the HOF?

Which coaches that haven’t won a Super Bowl made it in?

There is no debate.  Yes Andy Reid is a HOF coach.  He made 3 consecutive nfccgs.  Hes taken 2 franchises to title games. Hes going to finish in the top 5 in wins.  There are a whole mess of coaches you have to kick out of the hall if you are going to keep Reid out

This is a reasonable take.

At this point, winning a Super Bowl would only solidify him as a legendary HOF coach and add to his resume, but I don't think that his achievements are worth less because he doesn't have a ring, not when you look at everything he achieved. It's still a career that cannot be matched by many.

I'll say a SB is the difference between HoF and first ballot HoF. He might have to wait a year or two without a SB but he's in.

I don't like Andy Reid, he never learned from his mistakes, never adapted his game plan, and for all of the talented teams he had he could never put it all together. He's a good coach yes, but in my book, he's still a chump.

But you have to admit that you're a fan of his coaching tree though right?

I think he gets in, but he still needs to coach another 5-6 years @ .600 winning % or a SB win would seal it.

Right now he's about a season behind Schottenheimer (who also has an impressive coaching tree as well) in wins.  If Reid's coaching career ended right now, he'll be in that same bucket as Schottenheimer as coaches that get passed by the HoF.

tfw Reid never won a Super Bowl ring in his 18 years as a head coach and Pederson got a ring his 2nd year of head coaching. It's a nice coaching tree though, too bad he's rigid and it shows with his teams doing well in the first half of the season only to falter by midseason.

Actually his Chiefs team have never been to the AFCCG. In five seasons he has three one and dones and one year where they lost in the divisional after blowing out the Texans in the WC.
