1. Cleveland browns: QB Sam Darnold USC

Darnold is the the top qb in the class. He has the arm strength, body size, and mobility to thrive in this league. The Browns need their future quarterback and Darnold will do well with this revamped Browns team either midway through this year and definitely by next year.

2. NY Giants: QB Josh Allen Wyoming

Nobody has any clue what the G-men are going to do here. With that being said they would be foolish not to take Allen here since they most likely won't be in this high of a draft position in a very long time. Allen has the arm strength and the size to be a top tier QB but had issues with his completion rate in college. Learning under a vet like Eli Manning will help him mature into a leader for the Giants in the future.

3. NY Jets(acquired from colts): QB Josh Rosen UCLA

Josh Rosen is one of the purest passers in this class. He has great intelligence, pocket awareness and poise. He lacks arm strength compared to some of the other guys in his class but there is no doubt that this guy can succeed in this league. He does have a history of concussions so durability is definitely a question; however the Jets didn't trade up to this position if they didn't think he could take their team to the playoffs.

4. Cleveland browns: RB Saquan Barkley Penn State

This is a no brainer here as the Browns add the best talent in this draft class. Barkley is a playmaker and will make any team he is on better. He can catch passes out of the backfield and he has great burst when handed the ball. This kid will change the Browns offense this year and many years to come as well.

5. Denver Broncos: QB Baker Mayfield Oklahoma

Baker may be small in stature, but he definitely knows how to lead a team. The Broncos have been searching for their QB of the future. They signed Case Keenum however he is not the long term answer. Mayfield has the grit to make it in the NFL but the Broncos may need to build their scheme around him since he can use his legs to run as well.

6. Indianapolis Colts: DE Bradley Chubb NC State

The Colts haven't had a dominant pass rushing attack since the days of Mathis and Freeney.  Chubb can bring the life back into this D-line. He has a motor that keeps going and is super quick on the snap. Some of his mechanics can be tweaked but there is no question about the talent this kid possesses.

7. Tampa bay Buccaneers: CB Denzel Ward Ohio State

The Bucs Defense torched last season in the passing game.  Ward is a very talented and athletic corner who can immediately make an impact in the Bucs secondary.

8. Chicago bears: OL Quentin Nelson Notre Dame

Nelson is as sure of a player as there is in this draft. He is the most superior lineman in his class and will protect Trubisky for the next decade. With a weak O-line there is no doubt with the Bears selection.

9. San Francisco 49ers: LB Tremaine Edmunds  VirginiaTech

Edmunds is an elite linebacker that has a rare combination of size and speed. He is super athletic and can play any linebacker position. He is still young and there is still a lot that he can learn but his talent is undeniable. The 49ers will solidify their defense with Edmunds on their side.

10. Oakland raiders: DB Minkah Fitzpatrick Alabama

Minkah is a superb talent coming out of Alabama. He can play corner as well as some safety. His athleticism and versatility make him a pro bowl caliber player who can help this pass leaky Raiders defense. Gruden snags the Crimson Tide All-American here.

11. Miami Dolphins: DT Vita Vea, Washington

A quarterback will be tempting here for Gase and the Dolphins brass but they will not settle and instead try to fill the massive hole that Suh left with another massive player in Vita Vea.  Vea has excellent athleticism for a man his size and is way more then just a space eater.  This is not a sexy pick but can immediately help the Fins defense.

12. Buffalo Bills: QB Lamar Jackson, Louisville

In this mock draft there are no trades so instead of trading up for a quarterback they wait, hold on to their draft picks and take the electric Jackson.  AJ McCarron is no more then a placeholder and you hope with some seasoning that Jackson can blossom into a more traditional quarterback with his off the charts athleticism allowing him to contribute both through the air and ground.

13. Washington Redskins: LB Roquan Smith, Georgia

The Redskins have multiple needs but the way this draft has fallen out, they jump at the chance to grab the gifted and intelligent Smith.  Throughout this past season, you were able to see all the traits and instincts which shows that Smith projects to be a three down linebacker in this league who can play against the run and pass. Smith will instantly make an impact on this team.

14. Green Bay Packers: S Derwin James, Florida State

I believe the Packers get the steal of this draft with selecting James at #14.  James will fill a need in the packers secondary along with being the best player available on the board at this spot.  James took a step back this year in his first year back from an ACL tear but he is only scratching the surface with his talent and with another year of recovery under his belt he will be able to start from day 1 and be a difference maker.

15. Arizona Cardinals: QB Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State

Even though he is the sixth quarterback to come off the board, Mason Rudolph has all the tools to succeed in todays NFL. Rudolph does not have any elite traits but is a heady quarterback who can make almost every throw possible. With injury prone Bradford as the starter, Rudolph could end up making starts in 2018.

16. Baltimore Ravens: WR Calvin Ridley, Alabama

This pick just makes too much sense. Ridley saw a massive percentage of targets in the Tide offense and for good reason.  Ridley is extremely talented and has the ability to become a number wide receiver in this league.  The Ravens are in dire need of a legitimate threat on the outside and Ridley can provide that.

17.  Los Angeles Chargers: DT Da’Ron Payne, Albama

The Chargers are stout on the edge and with this selection of Payne; they have the ability to create one of the most daunting defensive lines in the league.  Payne’s bread and butter is run stuffing and this is why this makes so much sense because he does not need to do much pass rushing on this line but has the athleticism to have a sack here or there.

18. Seattle Seahawks- DE Marcus Davenport, UTSA

Defense was the bread and butter of those top Seahawksteams and with the loss of Michael Bennett there is a hole on the edge and Davenport can step right in and fill that.  Davenport did not get a ton of recognition playing at small school UTSA, but his athleticism is off the charts and at times can just dominate offensive tackles.

19. Dallas Cowboys: OG Will Hernandez, UTEP

The rich get richer with this selection.  Even though Dallas already has a top-flight offensive line, they have a need at LG and Hernandez will step right in and help Elliot gain yards and score touchdowns this year.  The Boys have other needs but Hernandez is too tough to pass up for a win now team.

20. Detroit Lions: TE Hayden Hurst, South Carolina

With the loss of Eric Ebron and with only the addition of Luke Wilson, the Lions are in need of a threat in the middle of the field.  Hurst has the ability to make defenders miss in the open field and has above average route running skills especially for a former baseball player.  Hurst will never be an elite blocker but his ability as a receiver makes him tantalizing for the Lions.

21. Cincinnati Bengals: LB Leighton Vander Esch, Boise State

A highly productive collegiate player last season, plug in Vander Esch to start on day 1. The Bengals could go in a few different directions here, but they trust the board around their needs and scheme fit and select the highly athletic and fundamentally sound Vander Esch here.

22. Buffalo Bills (via Chiefs): OT Matt McGlinchy, Notre Dame

Now that they have their QB, they lock down their Right Tackle for the next ten years. McGlinchy isn’t necessarily flashy and may not have the top tier upside, but he is a rock solid clean OT prospect. These guys are in high demand, and McGlinchy gets pushed up the board for positional value alone. He’s a no-doubt 1st round pick

23. New England Patriots: OT Conor Williams, Texas

Pats have a gaping hole at Left Tackle and settle it here with Williams. Excellent height and bulk for the position, most importantly he displays some really solid balance and movement skills in space which is necessary to succeed at LT in the bigs. As long as his knee checks out, Williams will be a great get.

24. Carolina Panthers: DE Harold Landry, Boston College

Just wow. This is a dream scenario in which Landry falls all the way to 24. His sort of pass rushing acumen should put him squarely in the top ten conversation. There are some inconsistencies to his game which may scare some, but he defeinitely has that quick twitch ability, and that natural bend folks look for at the position. I think Landry ultimately goes much higher - the Panthers run to the board with a steal here.

25. Tenessee Titans: DT Maurice Hurst, Michigan

Recent news is that Hurst has been cleared to play from his heart irregularity. That’s huge for the big man, as he has the speed, ability, and strength to no doubt be in the round 1 conversation. A tough spot with the run on OT and Landry a pick earlier, as the Titans have some decent holes at those positions. Hurst will provide some explosiveness up the middle — Hurst has excellent effort and an array of pass rush moves from the interior.

26. Atlanta Falcons: WR D.J. Moore, Maryland

Falcons with an awesome get here, as they can line up Moore across from Julio Jones for years to come. Ultra competitive, muscular and quick, there are a lot of boxes that are checked here. Wouldn’t be surprised if Moore ends up being the best WR in this class

27. New Orleans Saints: C James Daniels, Iowa

Ultra athletic from the interior, this is a great almost dream get for the Saints. Daniels matches the speed and intensity to come right in and do a great job for Payton’s up-tempo offense. Technically very sound and explosive, I’m a big fan and he could legitimately go in the top 20. Saints get a steal here

28. Pittsburgh Steelers: LB Rashaan Evans, Alabama

Roll tide meet Steel City. The Steelers have a massive need at Inside Linebacker after their stud former Buckeye LB Ryan Shazier went down with a freakish spinal injury and will miss all of next year. Thankfully, in our scenario, Evans falls to them at 28. A versatile, playmaking defender, Evans lined up in multiple spots for the Crimson Tide and is a phenomenal talent. A no brainer for Pitt here given need and board.

29. Jacksonville Jaguars: WR Michael Gallup, Colorado State

Due to the school, Gallup is not a household name, but he is a serious talent. He is physically explosive, has a smooth approach yet plays with aggression, and has truly excellent hands. Jags get their guy to groom and replace Allen Robinson. The route tree is a little concerning, he may need a little bit to pick up the nuances of a full NFL playbook, but watch sneaky first round potential within Gallup and particularly with Jacksonville here.

30. Minnesota Vikings: CB Josh Jackson, Iowa

As CB is one of the deepest positions in this draft, watch for teams to look at other positions as they eye mid rounds for a CB pick. That being said, the need is here for the Vikings and Jackson gets snatched up. Rangy, fiery cornerback here, Jackson has hands nearly as good as some wideouts. Nice spot for him here, Vikings run to the podium

31. New England Patriots: CB Mike Hughes, UCF

Little run on corners here, Hughes comes off the board with too much talent at this spot. Great cover skills, tremendous ability to mirror wideout movements, and quick on his feet with strong ability to plant and move. As the Pats miss out on the run on QBs, they find themselves putting together a rockstar support staff for Brady

32. Philadelphia Eagles: RB Sony Michel, Georgia

One of my favorite players to watch in this draft, Michel rounds out round 1 here. It’s an interesting smattering of RBs for the defending champ Eagles, and they could use someone like Michel to complement what they have. He is loose, slippery and quick, Michel is going to be a playmaker wherever he goes. Eagles would be wise to grab him here.

This is a panic draft pick. If the Cardinals loose their minds and make Rudolph a first round selection, I’ll loose all faith in their front office. They have more needs than just QB. It would be far wiser to go BPA and look for a QB in later rounds.

I’d prefer OLine, WR, CB or DL if one of the actual top QBs is not there at 15. It would be better to trade back than reach for a QB.

Can't see the Falcons going WR if DT Taven Bryan is available.

Not at all Taven Bryan would be a much better pick for us than a Slot WR.    Im not understanding why people keep acting like we don't have a legit really good #2 and talk about lining people up across from Julio.   Mohhamad Sanu is a fantastic #2 and one of the better ones in the league he is perfect for us as a #2 and compliment to Julio.   We need a Slot WR to replace Gabriel which can be had in the next 3 or 4 rounds.

At 27, with Rashaan Evans, Sam Hubbard, Courtland Sutton, and Lamar Jackson on the board...you have us taking a center. A position that is currently occupied by Max Unger who is playing great for us. Showing no real signs of regression. Sorry, this is a bad pick.

Terrible pick. Michel is NOT a first round pick. He's the 4th best back in this class at best.
