Here's the truth. The Wizards are better w/ a healthy Wall than a hobbled Wall. Wall played hurt the last two seasons when honestly he shouldn't have.

The Wall supporters are throwing this one there now. Never said anything about nagging injuries the last two years. Hopped, skipped, and danced after the LA game.

Clockwork.

We all know players are better at 100%. Wall still not 100% showed Lebron *** whats good when he's on the court!

And haters gonna hate, I mean seriously. You hate Wall so much it's unconscionable .  He’s not the only reason the team has been in consistent the last two years and everyone who knows basketball knows that.

Since this thread has been started in the spring and since you've become active in this forum 99% of your posts have been complaining about John Wall, its tiresome.

The dude has been injured most of the last two years and that's the main problem with this team, just like it was an issue when Beal was injured for a lot of season in back to back yesrs a few years back.

The main problem with Wall is that the coaches/front office keep allowing him to try to play through those injuries and it's hurting their ability to get lottery picks.

The team should’ve shut him down earlier in the season last season and this season, if they had they'd be further down the road to a lottery pick right now, which, I do believe they'll have next year because the team as currently constructed isn't capable of making the playoffs.

The strange thing is, this is the first time you've claimed that he's been playing injured. That excuse card came out and you jumped all over it. And now you're saying it's the coaches/front office fault. That is hilarious!

Wall has had some GREAT games the past two years. Was he hurt in those... maybe he was just being a warrior and playing through pain? Maybe he magically got better against the Lakers... you know, his audition.

Calling out teammates (multiple times multiple years) for hustle/heart while not hustling

Rosebar

Instagram meltdowns

Gang signs

Generally under-performing, taking possessions off (he was hurt... LOL), not playing defense (he was hurt... LOL).

Record with/without Wall the past two years.

Net ratings on/off the court the least two years.

Hey, didn't you hear? He was hurt.

They probably won't get a lottery pick. They're generally a .500 team... without Wall.

Here are the problems @turtle28:

  1. A healthy John Wall did not get the Wizards to any higher seed than a #4.
  2. A healthy John Wall did not get the Wizards past the second round of the playoffs.
  3. The team hasn't had a healthy John Wall in over two years.
  4. Injuries stack, and getting older makes it harder to recover.
  5. Wall's contract is debilitating for the Wizards' salary cap.

Effectively, your and @Skinsin2013's back and forth about Wall are irrelevant.

Kind of like how the Wizards will be for the next few years.

Again, this is what happens when you allow incompetent people to lead your franchise for multiple years. They do massive damage to the organization, not just to the player roster but to the brand that is your team. It makes it harder to recruit free agents, get better classes of coaches, up and coming assistants, etc. It causes the team to overpay mediocre (at best) players because they need to fill out the roster due to the dysfunction tax.

And if this sounds like I just lifted this argument from one of the numerous ones about Bruce Allen and his tenure as GM ... well then ... there you are.

True.

Lots of Beal trade rumors floating recently. That's where they should be at this point... sadly.

Jeff Green: 0-3

Otto Porter: 0-5

From 3 vs the Heat. Once again, if this team is going to be better, their shooters must knock down shots. This is been a huge problem this year.

True.

I think the Wiz are in for a handful tonight. Tough schedule coming up. Blessing in disguise could mean more losses might increase the chances of a trade.

Wizards are 4/23 from 3 tonight after Otto just bricked another one! That Damn John Wall is really ruining their spacing and ability to make 3s.... lol GTFOH!

This didn't age well.

Be happy.

Best win of the year.

We played the Thunder earlier in the year. Check out the difference. As a matter of fact, check out the last FOUR times we've played OKC. Compare and contrast.

You’re right after I said that Porter rained in a few as did Beal and Green. Big win, I'm glad they played well in the 2nd half. Bryant is really coming along as young big too. I wish they would bring up Devin Robinson from the Go-Go bc they could really use his athleticism, rebounding ability and size off the bench behind Green.
